We did not cruise but took a 8 day trip to Aruba last July. We rented all day quads or 4 person razors unguided, it was an amazing day. You can do 1/2 day as well. Place was not far from cruise port. We circled the entire island from the light house to Baby Beach. Best time ever saw the entire island.

I agree that vaccines should be mandatory for adults but you can’t make vaccines mandatory for kids when they have not even been studied.

Unless folks think that a random piece of paper from a city / town / county / state / province means something. Cruise lines don't have the manpower to do verification. Its simply a legal liability measure and perhaps a coming CDC directive to the cruise lines.
And it's been studied on adults? You all are the study subjects right now. For a something that you have to be tested to know you have.Something crazy go on here.

Here is my million dollar question........I had my first vaccine last Sunday 3/7 my second vaccine is due March 28 - now from what I am reading on the CDC they do not know how long the vaccine is good for, they are saying 90 Days. Now hopefully this will be not true as time goes on but if it is true this would get me only till the 2nd week in July. Then what ???? If you want to travel on a cruise do we all need to be re vaccinated again!! I cant see this happening for the whole world to get boosters again that would just be crazy.
Any other thoughts??

Exactly so many unknown for something everyone is pushing for. It's ridiculous at this point to demand everyone to vaccinate. Yes, people with certain health issues maybe but the entire world? That's just control in my opinion.

It will be interesting to see if a large portion of people don’t get vaccinated and don’t care to cruise where these businesses thing their money will come from. Don’t care to argue about the vaccine, just a point of if they cannot fill ships will this impact what they will do. Whether one agrees or not many will not take this vaccine regardless of what restrictions are put on them.
Exactly. These big companies are bleeding billions everyday. Cruising , Disney etc. Recovery is not going to happen if they exclude a certain group people.

We're booked for Bermuda in August 2021. Masks are a no. Excursions are a no. Vaccinations required is a no. There are currently 16 states open with no mask mandates and we will visit any of those instead.
Amen, Same goes with vaccine. Plenty of other -place to give my money to. Have a great time!

Mandated vaccine to cruise, masks deal breaker for me. Plenty of other vacations I can take without having to be a sheep or be dictated by the government or the people. My time and $ are precious, so no cruising for me.

Taxi rates
in Aruba
Hi I have a trip planned to Aruba with my family there are 9 of us. Can someone give me some info on taxi rates? I know we are only allowed 5 people per taxi. We are only doing beach and some site seeing. Weighing my options of renting a car or not.
Thank you

The bus schedule says bus #6 goes to clearwater from St George. Would that be a good idea or a taxi from there to Clearwater?
Thank you

Great info thanks. Best way to get to Church bay? Leaving in 2 days.

Thank you so much.

Hi,
This first time going to Bermuda and I've been reading here since we booked Escape this past Friday. Can someone tell me easiest way to and from Clearwater Beach? Confused as I read bus #6 does not drop off there anymore.
Thank you.

Looking for a beach not too far away to spend a few hrs before ship leaves. Doing Stingray City in the morning then being dropped back off at port around 1. So a beach not to far for swimming and relaxing. Thanks

$24 round trip per person?

Were concessions opened back up? I understand the restrooms and chair rentals are open, but we miss the bar!!!
We were there May 14th this year. No concessions. Yes chairs to rent, no umbrella rental. The woman renting chairs told us she was not allowed to sell bottled water either. We did not know this beforehand or would have brought our own. Amazing beach tho. Snorkeling was good its coming back from the storm damage.

I always bring my own. Cruise towels are nice but way to heavy when wet to lug around after the beach.

Hi there. I follow Pirates of SXM on facebook there is a post from Rob on March 26th with pictures of Pinel. As above poster mentioned it is doing well. Looks wonderful and cant wait to visit in 43 days.

We always pre pay on any line we sail on. Like knowing most everything is paid before we leave. Hubby also always tips our steward cash on first day. Never had a problem not receiving anything we need. They work long hrs. so they deserve it.
-
I cruised NCL last Jan and took a ziplock bag from each port no problem at all. Done it in the past on CCL.

Beautiful pictures. Thank you. We are going middle of May. Am I correct to say no chair/umbrella rentals? Im going either way but want to plan what to bring with me. Thanks
-
We ae in port from 7-3pm middle May, looking for a beach to relax. Narrowed it down to Dickenson or Long Bay. Just need a chair with a view. Prefer the chairs not on top of each other , but it really doesn't matter. Help me choose. Probably cant go wrong with either one. Thanks

You learn something new everyday. Never would have thought port change would be covered. Had a feeling we would have a port change but I personally never pick up insurance. But I will be looking at it in the future because of your post. Thank you.

Pam chaise lounges, no chairs, and no umbrellas because there is abundant natural shade along part of the shore
was just browsing around. we are going to Sapphire next week. Thanks for the webcam link. :)

It was great and we had a great time, plenty of beach, we were placed all on our own and loved it. I think it was MORE than worth it especially with 6 drinks and a meal! That normally cost more than double anywhere else!
I just went to their site and saw that food is still included, You should look again on the right hand side in the highlights sections.
We paid $21.00 from Old San Juan, when we were ready they called us a cab which came in 5 minutes. They did tell me that they might include transport in the future but you should ask them if they did. I like the fact that i could take a taxi, that way i left to the beach when i wanted to.
I definitely recommend this excursion in San Juan if you have already toured the Old City. Pretty inexpensive for what you get.
Which beach does the excursion bring you to? I was looking at this same excursion.
Thanks

George’s Cycle rental very professional and extremely helpful. My daughter just rented quads for her trip this past Aug. no issues at all. I highly recommend. I hope to get back to Aruba soon to do this again.
