I was at a land based casino here in Florida and they have plexiglass partitions on all of the table games. My question is specific to the Craps tables. The Craps tables are now all electronic so you don't handle the dice or the chips! Anybody hear how it will be handled on the ships? I sure don't want to play electronic craps as it's a machine and like the slots the machines can be programmed for a house advantage.

Any suggestions on the spacing in the Casinos? Down here in Florida the Seminole Casinos have plexiglass partitions between all slots and the table games also use those partitions. Handling of the chips at the table games is another issue. as well.

I never have gotten to the 15 limit but every morning I go to the Java Spot early and get a cappucino and then one about 30 minutes later. Of course after dinner drinks in the MDR of a Baileys and coffee ae a great ending to a meal.

I like those cabins as they are close to the fitness center and the very large showers (with plenty of towels ) This frees up the bathroom in the cabin for your wife. or other cabin mates if traveling with more than 1 extra.

My e-mail gave me 5X points for purchasing or paying for a Carnival cruise or Carnival service! and 4X points for all other purchases from 10/7/19 thru 11/11/19. It MAY only be for select cardmembers however

If you only have 100 shares together trying to get two shareholder benefits would be the same as stealing.
Guest Services can probably transfer half of the OBC to the other cabin but not give you double the credit. I assume you're doing this so only 1 of you has to purchase the cheers package.

Thanks for the Great review & Pictures Cruisin Husker. Just asking what day & Time did Cruise Critic have their Meet & Mingle and in what venue ? My cruise 12/1/18 has 179 people registerd ! YIKES You can see I'm a Hawkeye but Always root for Big red when they don't play Iowa.

Iowa is my "second" home--my wife is from there and we lived in Des Moines 15 years. I like Iowa and Kirk Ferentz but will be rooting for the Huskers in two weeks!
Lived on Des Moines South side ( near the Walmart on SE 14th ) and then to an acreage just south of the hwy 5 bypass. Moves to N Ft Myers in 2010 to care for my now deceased parents.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but in the sport bar and casino they show ESPN and I believe the fox sports one channel. They did have the Thursday night NFL game and a couple Sunday games. If the game you want to watch is on ABC or CBS you'll be out of luck. I know I wanted to watch a couple of the national games on ABC and they weren't available.
I agree The new Sports line-up sucks along with their news channels.....Well now living just south of you in N Ft Myers but as you can see by my nickname I'm from IOWA and a big Hawkeye Fan. I'm sure Frost will right the ship at Nebraska. I don't know if Iowa will beat Nebraska for the Heroes game the Friday after Thanksgiving but I'll cheer on the Huskers any other time as i went to Creighton U in Omaha (1966-1971) and we didn't have a football team. It was back when Bob Devaney was the coach. Love Sarasota have friends that have a condo on Lido beach just past Sandcastles hotel. Also love St Armands Circle and Cha Cha Cocnuts and The Columbia Restaurant.

Just got off the Horizon and I would say it worked about 5 days out of 8. Make sure you have a backup plan if you want to rely on the app to communicate with your party.
I have a LARGE ( over 300) facebook group going on the Horizon. Do you have to imput each of the groups names of just know if they have the Hub app and text them and can you do a group message? I might get the social internet package and use messenger if that's available on the ship

FYI If you book an MSC Cruise they will HONOR your current Status Level from ANY other cruise line. When I hit Platinum next year I'm considering booking MSC Seaside. Incidentally I don't see the issue with cross branding perks. Hilton Honors and Hyatt and Holiday Inn does it. it's really just an IT issue

When I hadn't seen my OBC posted for an upcoming 2019 cruise I was also told that you have to send them a current statement that is less than 90 days away from your cruise. So if you're booked February 1 of 2019 you would have to send them a statement that is after November 2018

Yes, formal nights were the second and 7th nights.
The elevator programming is good in theory, but the execution isn't there. I'm not sure what the issue is, it seems like they assign everyone going in the same direction to the same elevator (and the other 3-5 never get assigned, even if 10 people walk up and selected the same destination), and when it finally comes, it stops on every floor and nobody gets on or off. I guess people give up on waiting?

I heard if you press the button for the floor you want and there are 4 of you going to that floor that you have to press the button 4 times or the elevator thinks there's only 1 going to that floor and will stop for others on other floors going to yours.

This is total Bullcrap with 90% of the passengers being from the USA The higher ups at NCL had best rethink their policy. They have no empathy and blow you off like they don't care. Write to Andy Stuart President & COO of Norwegian Cruise Lines at:

as of today January 26th they have not set up a roll call page for Carnival Horizon. I sent an e-mail to Laurs S the moderator and hopefully we'll have one soon.

Thank you Bonnie for the suggestions. We live in Connecticut so it would be a 19+ hour drive for us. I drive for work and i don't want to drive that long for a vacation lol . but definitely will be looking into the Best America Value inn as a possibility. we are still debating if we want to fly in the day before or two-three days prior..
Just stayed at this property this past December. Hot a 5 Star but it was clean for an older hotel and it's cheap ( booked thru Hotels.com) good hot breakfast included and a shuttle was available but it didn't leave till 12:30. I'd suggest a hotel closer to the beach if you want to upgrade.

Have they said how many have made it so far?

Port Everglades Harbormaster Audio just announced a 2100 departure time for BOTH ships (HAL & Princess)that's 9:00. You can listen LIVE on the webcam

Yes my friends got twice a day service. I ended up making my own bed each morning because I didn't want to come back to an unmade room. In hindsight I should have requested morning service but I thought I might want to sleep late.

....was on the TSS Carnivale in 1991 for a 3 day out of Miami to Nassau. Wished it could have been longer. Has a VERY small porthole cabin at the front of the ship and we could hear the anchor drop in the morning. (Great wake up alarm!) Enjoyed the meals and service and the Talent show. Learned how to play craps at the Casino from one of my Italian friends and got hooked on the game.Carnival so much I've never switched lines. Still a long way from Platinum with the new loyalty schedule but, heck I'm on a cruise and going on my 8th this December.

How do you contact Guest Services on the Sunshine to make sure our 9/24 sailing has its M & G? Our M & G coordinator is starting to wonder if our sailing will get one with the recent Sept. sailings before ours not getting one since Guest Services claims that Miami hadn't notified them.
Thanks.

Just got off the Sunshine this morning. Over 60 people registered for this event. We were supposed to get invitations in our cabin but that never happened. Then we scoured each days Fun Times and it was never listed. After the last Fun Times was issued, with no mention of the Meet & Greet, a few roll call members went to Guest Services and were told that Miami never notified them about a Meet & Greet for our cruise, so it was never scheduled. That's a shame because most of the people that I knew who signed up were going to show up no matter when it was scheduled to make sure ours was well attended. EPIC FAIL somewhere along the line!!
I am one of the organizers of a Meet & Greet group for the Carnival Sunshine on another site. I found out about CC's Meet & Greets AFTER I had been in contact with the Ships Guest Services Manager about putting on one for my group. Between my group and Cruise Critic I now have 43 signed up and I am actively posting updates on the other site so people will come. I notified CC that I had been doing this with no response back yet. I'm to get back with Carnivals Guest Services manager at the end of September and we'll work this out. I'll let you know what happens after my cruise Dec 10th on the Carnival Sunshine.

Carry-on Wine limits for a back-to-back cruise
in Carnival Cruise Lines

I know that one is allowed 1 bottle of wine or champagne per person for a cruise, but what if you're doing a back-to-back cruise?
Would it just be as easy to take 1 per person on the first leg and then wait till the first port of call on the second leg to get your next bottles?
Even if we got the cheers package it would be nice to have a bottle or 2 in the cabin.
