  1. The Spa Suite is the only category that includes spa access. My adult daughter and I have stayed in those suites a few times and it’s not tight at all. Categories H4 and H2 are in the Haven proper so they’re closer to the restaurant and the courtyard. Since mom likes a the idea of a jacuzzi in the suite and you enjoy using the spa, I would keep what you have.

  2. Only one device can be logged on at a time. If you want to log on and someone else is logged on, you have the option to log them off. There were several times where it would appear that someone else was logged on but they weren’t 🤷🏾*♀️. We usually have unlimited minutes and just share the password.

  3. I’ve done B2B only once. Different suite and Butler each week. First week (2 ppl in courtyard) the butler got nothing because he sucked. Had the service not been horrible, he would have received around $150. Second week (4 in 2BR) we tipped $300. We use the Butler everyday for breakfast

  4. I’ve stayed in the Spa Suite twice on Breakaway and the rest have been inside on the Epic, Getaway and Escape. I preferred being in the Haven proper. The lounge was always so peaceful and relaxing. That’s a wonderful feeling after you’ve had a long day on the ship. I liked running into my butler or steward and having a quick chat. Being inside is much more convenient. Never had to go out of my way to talk to the concierge or the butler to ask for anything. It was always as I was leaving my suite or going back. Also I really liked that the bar is right there. Grab a quick drink take it to your room while you’re getting ready for the evening activities. No need to go back-and-forth. If you’re not picky about the suite, price difference, and you spend most of your time in the courtyard and sun deck, then I’d go with the Courtyard Suite.

  5. I can’t remember the last time I had a meal in one of the MDR’s so I can’t speak on the quality. For the past several years it’s been The Haven’s restaurant or speciality dining. I order breakfast every morning and the only disappointment I’ve had is when the kitchen gets my order wrong. That happened twice on the same ship. Can’t recall which one. The pancakes were kind of doughy and the caramel bananas on top made them too sweet. I’m sure you can order them plain though. Scale of 1-10, I’d give them a 7. The other basics you mentioned were pretty good and the food was never cold. Honestly, if it weren’t for the speciality dining perk, I’d be totally happy with The Havens restaurant for all three meals.

  6. I’m in a NCL FB group and one of the members was on that plane. She was posting live. Everyone was rooting for her to make it! It was pretty nerve racking. Happy to hear that they will be joining the ship tomorrow.

We typically fly in the night before, but once we took Amtrak to NYC the morning of. I’m in the DC area so it was only a 3.5 hour ride, but I booked the 6am train and was a nervous wreck the whole time lol. I’ll never do that again!

  7. You are allowed to entertain guests in your suite. I’m not certain about sleepovers. Non Haven guest are not permitted in the exclusive areas such as the lounge and pool area. I believe they charge a fee for dining in the Haven Restaurant.

  8. Thank you all for the info... as a lover of sandals butler suites, I know tip discussions can get...contentious...but I appreciate everyone’s input.

There are usually 4 of us in a suite. All adults in either the 2BR suite or DOS. We order breakfast every morning and use the concierge for dining reservations we didn’t do online. That’s about it. We will give a flat amount, assuming the service is good. Butler 250-300, concierge and room steward 100 each.

  9. I remember seeing a chart on the website, but I can't find it. I've stayed in the DOS twice on the Escape and we choose three bottles of liquor or wine. You also get unlimited sodas and bottled water. Not sure about any other non Haven perks unless you're referring to latitude perks

  10. Going from 2BR suite to DOS would be considered a downgrade for us. Even if only 2 of us.

Have a DOOR to the bedroom is worth megabucks to us.

I'm confused. How is the DOS a downgrade compared to the 2BR suite if you only have 2 ppl in the suite? The DOS on the Escape has 2 full sized bedrooms with doors.

  11. Thanks this was my thought exactly. I dont like being crowded. and i would rather have too much space than not enough space. and I was thinking exactly that, the storage space for 6 adults luggages. plenty of area closet to store luggage and clothing that would also take up the space. i think at the end of the day it would be worth it. and we are bring a cousin of ours who's a firat time cruiser. I dont want her to have a bad experience.

Question: Are you able to sit on the balcony while ship is in motion, even though it's in front of ship, concern about it being too windy?

I didn't spend a ton of time on the balcony, but I don't remember the wind being an issue. For me it was the Sun. This past cruise in August we were in 18102. Depending on the time of day the Sun will be directly on the lounge chairs. I fell asleep without sunblock and woke up with a red nose!! Also, there is a smaller balcony that can be accessed from the master bedroom. That balcony has two chairs and a table. It's pretty well protected from the elements.

  12. I have been back and forth with my family on deciding to go in the Deluxe Owner suite or 2 bedroom Haven on Escape. We are 5 adults and 1 teenager (age 14). so we r close to 6 adults. I want the Deluxe owner suite so everyone can be comfortable with the extra space and not be on top of each other, but others fill, it's a waste of money, being the seating and sleeping count doesnt change, that all we are paying for is the room space.

Would u recommend the OS or 2-bedroom with the amount of Adults going in 1 room?

If you can swing it definitely go with the Deluxe Owners Suite. I cruise with my mother, sister, and my adult daughter. We've stayed in the 2BR suite twice and the DOS twice. The 2BR is ok with 4, but you'll feel crowded with 6. Tell them you're not paying extra for the room space, you're paying extra for your sanity!! I'd be pulling my hair out with 6 in the 2BR. The DOS is perfect for 6 adults. It has two full bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a powder room. Yes, someone will be sleeping in the living room with both suites, but the DOS has one hell of a living room!! You'll be glad you have that extra space, especially if you plan on having meals in the suite. There's plenty of storage for 6 in the DOS. Not so much in the 2BR. Plenty of space to move around comfortably. There's nothing like walking into your small apartment to relax after a long day. You won't regret it!!
