I recently went to Nachi this June. I didn't drink at all until right before we were about to leave. The bartender fixed me a rum punch. By the time we walked through the Carnival shops to the boat I was heavily intoxicated and spent the rest of the night vomiting in the bathroom. I hadn't eaten that day and blamed my empty stomach on my intoxication. The next 2 days I had severe pain in my chest and stomach. I just assumed it was from falling off the paddle board and taking in so much salt water while at Nachi but in the back of my mind wondered if somethings wasn't in that drink. Guess I just didn't want to assume the worst and kept blaming my issues on other things. These recent articles def scare me.

"At the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy, and your eyes sparkling."
I have been to Key West twice and had memorable experiences each time simply walking around and exploring the area.
However, this trip I want to live up to the quote above. What are your MUST dos/sees in Key West?

Is it 15 drinks per person or 15 drinks per stateroom? Also, do they still make you go to the bar to get the sticker on your S&S?

Except - the OP didn't make a mistake. The person who stole her items did. Any fool with access to the internet can pick a TSA lock, and a zip tie can be cut easily, What was she supposed to do - hang out in the hallway guarding her luggage until it was taken by the crew?
This is one of the things I have always been uncomfortable about with Carnival and RCCL - the hours that my luggage has to hang out in the hallway waiting to be taken. On Celebrity, our luggage was removed within 5 minutes of us putting it out - and I never saw luggage sitting in the hallway that last night.
Also - I've read several comments that $200 was not a lot. True, but our house was burgled 15 years ago, and of all the tvs, computers, and jewelry that was stolen, it was the decorative wax egg that I had purchased as a memento from a family trip for $10 that bothered me the most. It still burns me - no resale value and I loved that egg! Why???
edited to add - wasn't picking on you, Sparks! You were just the easiest quote ;)
Completely agree. If you have ever been stolen from you'll know the feeling of violation it leaves behind can be hard to bare with more so than the loss of souvenirs. Does Carnival warn against leaving the baggage unattended? Recommend locking your luggage? Anything?
This thread really bothers me not only because I am about to board the same ship in 10 days but because we have never given a second thought to leaving our luggage out before heading to our last dinner. Call me naive but I always just assumed Carnival or any ship line for that matter, would have some thing in place to prevent this.

Which ship?

Thank you all for taking the time to reply! Answered my question perfectly!

Everything is prepaid. I intend to put some money on acct but was just wondering how much I really need to place?

If you opt for the cash account option on a cruise...do you have to load your S&S card? Cruise is paid in full and we went with Cheers. Don't really plan on spending on any thing else.

There is a time period for when it must be filled in. If you do not put a name by that time, you will be charged a fee. Just booked for June 10th and had to call to put the name of my second guest. The customer service rep said there is a flaw on the website that doesn't allow you to change the second guest name. You must call in.

Thanks for all the feedback. Glad to hear all the good reviews.

What are drinks offered at gangway?

I've been reading some reviews on the main page and have been hearing some mixed reviews from friends recently off Triumph. Smells of sewage? Boat continuously rocks more so than Elation? Dirty, old, etc.
Anyone recently off can ease my mind about our upcoming trip on the Triumph?

Ah! How did I miss that? Thank you!!!!

Veteran cruisers,
Is there any way I can set something up sort of like a wedding registry but for our cruise honeymoon?
Thanks!

Saw her at the beginning of June in the atrium. She was not only fantastic but drew a huge crowd!

I appreciate the feedback! Thanks!

Honestly we get there for about 12 and rooms are ready to go. Not a long wait at all.

How can they possibly enforce it? I buy Cheers! When I get a drink, I dump it in my tumbler, wait 5 minutes and get another. The tumbler keeps them cold. Then I can carry on with my Lido activities, and I'm set for awhile before I need another. No one has ever stopped me and asked what is in my cup or sniffed it, whatever. I would think the same thing would apply if you made a drink in your room from your Bon Voyage purchase. Have a great cruise!:)
Thanks for the reply! I have my Yeti cup ready to go. Just wanted to make sure. ;)

What about the drinks purchased through the Bon Voyage site? I just checked out and noticed the disclaimer about having these drinks only in your cabin. How strictly is this enforced?

Thanks for the reply. Are there shops around?

Is it possible to take a tender off the ship in Belize and then just walk around on your own?

Sorry if this has been asked before but can any one give me more information on these two resorts? How to get there, what to expect once there? Do they take cash for food/drinks or cc only?
Any info would be great! Thank you!
