Thank you for your answers, yes, Royal - HOS - what about the ports, have yall heard anything bad about west. caribbean? So, if someone gets sick w/ the flu, etc - the whole ship is quarantined?  It's my son's honeymoon 😞

So far knock on wood no royal Caribbean  ships have been troubled and I have not heard of any issues at any of the ports RCC goes to

If we cancel our cruise this sunday, do we get a Future Cruise Cert and have to use in 1 year? What about shore excu. we paid for?  Also, big question, I used points for some of our payments?

What cruise line? If royal or celebrity Clearly  on their website. You have to sail on or before 12/31/2021. I don’t know what the other lines are doing.

My cruise is this Sunday, we just dont' know whether to cancel.  I have a question, who gets quarantined? The people who are sick or ALL the passengers on the ship?

From what I can see posted it’s all the passengers but not sure that happened on regal princess which I’m still not sure has been allowed to dock yet. I think grand process has not docked and everyone is quarantined but not 100% sure.

  4. It’s so disappointing among many other more important reasons but we also had the 18/day glitch and I had tons of OBC that I’m pretty sure won’t transfer to the next sailing? So far it won’t let me see prices but maybe they pop at a year so then I would see them in a few weeks for next year. I want to grab it early so then I can watch but I am fully aware it won’t be anything like what we had for this sailing.. and here royal thought that would be a devastating loss of revenue. They had no idea what was coming..

Your points are valid.  But the one thing about all of the examples you cited is that if a person was to catch the virus at one of those places, they wouldn't be quarantined on a cruise ship.  I think that in a lot of cases of people posting here, that's their biggest fear.

Completely this⬆️ We arent scared to get

sjck as much as we fear being quarantined.. Three in a cabin

Exactly, your FCC will be a deposit on your 2021 cruise.

Prices are double what is normal.

I then checked spring 2021 and it was cheaper than our current (although diff ship still same class but Allure which will be refurbished vs Symphony) but will keep watching to see what happens. I did grab it as a refundable deposit for now and TA said if I don’t go I can add the FCC to that booking and then I’ll have a good thousand to use on cruise after that but heard u have six months to use that remainder.

My only concern is how much Royal will be jacking up cruise prices and gratuities to make up for the lost revenue due to cancellations.

Interesting that you say that. We didn’t decide yet what to do but I plugged in same ship sim itinerary June 2021. my normal ocean view balcony was 4600 for three. this june 2021 cruise 7400! i kept rechecking could not believe it.

  8. Would so appreciate if you could share this info in detail when you get on, let us know the mood of the staff also not as important could you please tell me if they are offering the three speciality meals for $115 onboard (or what they are charging for it) It’s $179 for the unlimited I think but I don’t want to spend $540 more bs $345 which I almost have all of for OBC

  9. OK. Is it nuts to walk around with a travel pack of Clorox wipes. I don’t want to look psycho or drive my family crazy-I just keep hearing how dirty menus are and elevator buttons stair rails. But I’ll at least carry about hand sanitizer. I get this feeling that less people will get sick in general because I feel like more people

are aware/trying to be more hygienic but I know there are people who will still be totally disgusting sadly. That all being said we don’t want to cancel.

if for some crazy reason royal cancels on us (hopefully very unlikely out of Miami) do we Get a refund? I have travel guard but did not purchase cancel for any reason as why would I have thought to do that.

  10. We go in about 30 days--I  have two questions--I have travel insurance that is really good but I didn't purchase the "Cancel for any reason" extra because it wasn't on my radar and it covered work and illness.. So if the cruise line cancels the sailing for some reason what happens-is it in the cruise contract that they have to either refund us or give us credit for a new future sailing??

thanks! We def still hope/plan to go.

  11. Loved and would go again in a heartbeat. We met at 10:15 and took a very short walk down the length of our ship and then almost next

To where we were docked was a ferry that led us to Jost Van Dyke and we arrived about 11:30ish. A smaller tender boat came to our boat when we were pretty close to the shore and we stepped onto it (with help if you need)

and this went directly to the beach with a long ramp they put down so you actually walk off and did not walk through the water as the excursion had described. We were picked up around 4 and I think back Onboard by 4:45. We walked down the beach a short way to soggy dollar and each had a painkiller (invented right there at that bar in the 70's) delicious!!!

  12. That makes me feel better lol. I have never worn them besides as pajamas because I haven't felt comfortable but I have black ones with a simple creme colored design that I thought would be fine with black top.
