Excited to follow you on your journey. We'll be boarding the Silhouette on May 7th on a B2B - Norwegian Fjords & Scandinavia cruises. Our journey continues to Amsterdam & Bruges for a Viking Rhine river cruise to Basel, Switzerland. Bon Voyage and have a great 'B3B'. Cheers!

We’re considering going to the Lawn Club restaurant. Looking at the menu there are quite a few choices that sound really good that we would like to try. Are you limited to only one meat selection per person or can you have more than one?
In my research, as we are booked at the Lawn Club Grill, you are not limited. I was told that you can order a steak, for example, and also a kabob, if you wish. I also understand that you can choose your toppings for your flatbreads. If I am incorrect, I'm sure we'll both find out from other postings.

There wasn't one pre-pandemic and because our cruising season is just starting up again, I'd be surprised if there is one but then again, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Thank you for your review. We're on the Silhouette on a B2B in May so very excited as we've not sailed on her before. Our last cruise was July, 2019 on the Eclipse so looking forward to see the refit. I'm glad you enjoyed your cruise.

Celebrity advised us a few weeks ago about the Itinerary changes for our May 14th Baltic cruise on the Silhouette. We now have an overnight in Copenhagen which is our first port and Skagen, Denmark was added as the 6th port. While we were looking forward to St. Petersburg, cancelling was not an option for us as we're on a B2B, doing the Norwegian Fjords on May 7th. We're then going on to Amsterdam to join a Viking Rhine river cruise. Airfares, hotels and cruises paid for so we felt we couldn't cancel the whole thing for one port and one that will unlikely be on any Baltic cruise anytime soon.

Our May 14th cruise on the Silhouette cancels St. Petersburg (obviously) and adds an overnight in Copenhagen and a stop in Skagen, Denmark. We're happy with the changes and appreciate the work that Celebrity did to ensure that all cruises to the Baltics can continue.

In November, 2021, I saw Drinks & More being offered in our Cruise Planner for our Hawaii/Australia cruise in October, 2022 and purchased it. A few days later, I read posts that it was discontinued BUT if you purchased it, it would be honoured. My biggest concern was from the time I booked it until we cruise, how likely is it that any crew member will have any idea what I'm talking about. So, I copied the receipt, description of the Drinks & More benefits and the Order History from our planner that I will be sure to take. It still is showing in our Order History so I'm hoping it will not be removed.

I’ve done a number of cruises out of Vancouver and a a few times flew into Seattle, but never found any Celebrity support to get to Vancouver. Not a lot of cruise lines provide ‘connections’ from some city near a port city that has it’s own airports and so on. But if it exists, hope someone has the info you are looking for. I’d plan for other options.
We also used the train from Seattle to Vancouver and it worked just fine. One heads up: use 1st Class. A bit more expensive, but well worth it. Not due to ease of use during the trip which had nice facilities, but 1st class had priority getting off the train in Vancouver, handled our luggage for us and we were able to zip over to get a taxi to the Vancouver port. All very quick. We talked later to some who used standard booking on the train, and it took them A Lot longer to get off, get their luggage and a taxi. All those pushy 1st Class took the taxi’s and they had to wait for them to return.

Just read your post and you are absolutely correct about going 1st Class as we did for a weekend in Seattle but the downfall of the Vancouver train terminal is that it is in a very rough part of town and I certainly would not want to have to wait for a taxi. Just a heads up.

QUICK SHUTTLE offers a service from SEA to Canada Place Pier (where the cruise ships dock in Vancouver) and hotel stops in between. It's less expensive than the train and takes about 4 hours as well. While the train is a scenic ride following the Pacific Ocean (a good part of the way), the buses are quite nice and far more direct than the train as it's purpose is to transport people from Seattle SEATAC to the Vancouver port. Hope this helps.

You have all been so helpful. Thank you very much! 😊
We will approach our Concierge host/hostess and/or the CC host/hostess. We have always found our Concierge host/hostess very accommodating so I'm confident this will be no different.
Cheers!

I'm unable to find an answer to my inquiry so any help would be appreciated.
On our first leg of our B2B, we will achieve the next tier. While I appreciate that we will not be eligible for the benefits of the next tier on the 1st cruise of our B2B, will Celebrity give us the benefit of the next tier on the 2nd cruise. I have read that it takes 10 days or so to apply the points from any cruise to your account, but because we are staying on the same ship, can the ship recognize that you have achieved that next tier or does it have to go to head office.
Thanking you in advance.

We are booked on Celebrity for Scandinavia and St. Petersburg, leaving May 14, 2022.
Looking for information of anyone who may be on this cruise and what excursions are not to be missed.
We will be on this cruise as well. We booked the 2-day private tour (Premium Tour) with TJ TOURS, in St. Petersburg with 2 other couples who cancelled. TJ Tours is attempting to include us with another tour so if you wish to be in a small group, we can chat to see if you are interested.

@Milaandra this tour was booked for 2020, so we never went. We have now booked for 2022.
I would email TJ travel and Tatyana will answer your questions.
We have booked the 2-day Premium tour through Tatyana at TJ Tours. Our initial inquires & ultimately making the reservation was very smooth. Unfortunately, 4 of our companions cancelled the cruise for May leaving us to join another group. I emailed TJ Tours last night and this morning, Tatyana responded saying that she will work on including us with another group. I have found Tatyana very responsive and willing to accommodate and I am confident that it will be resolved.

Paul,
We just love your ever so detailed reports. We are committed Celebrity cruisers and are so excited for our B2B Norwegian Fjords and Baltic cruises in May, 2022. Our last cruise on the Eclipse was in July, 2019 so returning to cruising with Celebrity can't come soon enough. Your reports are always so inspiring. Wishing you and Edward a most enjoyable cruise.

Here in Canada (Ontario) we don't have a 'card', just the QR code/document to show them!
And in British Columbia, Canada, we have both. Each province is different but Trudeau announced last Thursday that there will be a Federal proof of vaccination system, I believe by way of a QR code. We're planning on taking both.

Thank you to all for your valuable responses. I, personally, want and will take the currency of the country for all of the reasons mentioned. The reason for my question initially was out of conflicting information I received when I spoke with people. Besides, it is far easier for me to exchange CDN $ for the countries' currencies than back and forth with CDN, USD & Euros, or whatever.
"Agree 1000%---no US businesses would accept euros or British pounds, so why would we expect Europeans to accept US dollars?" After all, the same rule applies in Canada, we use CDN $ and not USD.

The Canadian Viking site DOES mention those numbers (in US dollars) under FAQ’s. Not sure if it’s an error or a precursor of things to come…Thank you CILCIANRQTS. We'll take Euros & USD as both currencies will be accepted.

I haven’t looked lately but they used to suggest 1 euro for the driver and 2 euro for the guide. $5 and 10 seem high to me.
Thank you. I stand corrected as I've just checked our booking and you are absolutely right. I have no idea where I got my numbers from.

We're on a Viking Rhine river cruise in May, 2022. This will be our first river cruise. Viking says to tip $5.00 to your Driver for each excursion & $10.00 to your Guide. While I'm all in favour of tipping, is this expected?

Yes. I re-priced two sailings to get price drops and in both cases I was able to keep my OBC for booking onboard.
Same with our re-pricing of our 2 sailings. OBC remained for both.

Thanks much appreciated. We have a river cruise straight after so laundry is important.
We're on a B2B (7 & 12 nights) and then also going on a river cruise. I'm hoping that Celebrity will offer a laundry promotion because I can't imagine a month of travel without clean clothes.

Procedures are fluid right now and we'll see many changes as cruising moves forward. What I'm interested to see are the testing procedures for International travellers. As an example, we will be flying out of Vancouver, Canada on May 4, arriving in London on May 5th to board the Silhouette on May 7th. If the requirement is to have a COVID test 3 days before the start of the cruise, we'll have to have the test on the day we leave Vancouver on May 4th and receive the results by text or email. Will this be acceptable or will the UK or Celebrity want a test done by them and then when and where do we get it done. If anyone has any insight on this, I welcome your comments.
