  1. Sorry to hear about the pirate ship on Coco Cay. I thought my grandkids might enjoy it. They don't like getting splashed at on splash pads
  2. Google out the La Quintas. One of them has a free shuttle to the hotel and port. It also has a free breakfast that's good. There isn't anything nearby, so eat at the airport before getting on the shuttle to go to the hotel.
  3. Hotel Milano - another hotel in Old San Juan - very close to the forts
  4. I've only done Majesty and then Adventure. I think it's good to go from small to a little bigger. Everything seems so big, not sure how I could jump to an Oasis. I also don't like the idea of reservations. Just read a review on Allure that said if you didn't have a reservation you didn't get in; no stand-by line. Also, it seems if you're on the bigger ships you need to pay for some app, so you know what's going on. I don't want to pay for that and I don't have a smart phone.
  5. I was on the re-positioning Adventure cruise post hurricane that ended in San Juan. I got up a little too late to see the fort, but someone reported it was lit up. I was really disappointed,
  6. I don't think that's Coco Cay. Maybe somewhere in the Bahamas.
  7. Same article in Minneapolis paper. I thought it was interesting he only commented on lightning and high winds at Coco Cay, but didn't say hurricanes.
  8. Did the kids pirate ship have padding or is it concrete?
  9. I stayed at Hotel Milano and loved it. I had a room like yours, but with 1 double bed; no trouble with the mattress. Our room looked out the front of the hotel. I liked that the rooms are locked off from the elevator/stairs so people from the resturant can't get to the rooms.
  10. If just need room for the basics get a waterproof bag that you wear around your neck
