I am booking tomorrow and haven't made up my mind yet. Here are the options:

Magic- leaves from Port Canaveral and goes to Amber Cove, St Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. Two at sea days

Glory - leaves from Miami and goes to Half Moon Cay, St Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. Two at sea days.

Both leave on the same day and are both 7 days. The difference in itinerary is just HMC and AC. I also noticed that Glory will dock at 11:00 in Grand Turk and Magic will dock at 12:00.

Which would you pick???

Hi everyone! My husband and I are looking to cruise in August. We are currently looking at possibly the Valor or Magic. We have sailed on the Valor but many years ago and have not sailed on the Magic. Based on the ship alone which do you prefer? We like all the ports they are going to so we are going to decide only on the ship.

We would also consider other ships that sail out of Florida. If you have other favorites please fill me in!

Thanks for the feedback all. I wasn't asking if five or seven day is better. We obviously want to go on a 7 day but my husband needs to see how many days off of work he can get. I am asking about the ships only because for the 7 day cruise the itineraries are almost the same.

We have been to all places except for Costa Maya. This will be my 7th cruise. The last cruise being the Breeze last summer. That was a beautiful ship so I'm afraid anything will be disappointing.

Now knowing more information about the cruises would you still book Magic? On the breeze we were disappointed in main dining room food. Is this typical of all ships you've been with new menus?

My husband and I are looking into taking a cruise next month. We are not sure about 7 or 5 day yet but we are looking for your opinion based only on the ship. Which would you choose for the 5 and 7 day sailings and why?

For the 5 day sailings we are looking at Triumph or Paradise.

For the 7 day sailings we are looking at Magic or Glory.

I've been so busy I forgot to book our airport transfer from the pier to Fort Lauderdale airport after our cruise is over. Is this something we can book once on board? The website said it has to be done 5 days prior to boarding the ship so I can no longer book it online.

If not, are there usually cabs available outside the port?

We are sailing on the breeze next week and are thinking about making reservations to Cucina del Capitano. I have a couple questions about it I am hoping someone can help me with..

1. Can you order more than one appetizer like you can in main dining room? So many sound delicious!!

2. If it's family style, are entrees big enough to split and share so you taste more than one entree?

3. How do you make reservations prior to sailing?

Hi everyone. We have never been to the steakhouse before but thought it would be something nice to do since we are taking our honeymoon cruise in a couple weeks. I submitted the reservation request online but how long does it take to find out if the request was accepted? Will they email me or do I not find out until I'm on board?

I just printed mine and in small print on the tag is says it doesn't need to be printed in color. I always print my in color just so that it makes it easier on the luggage handlers to know where the bag needs to go. I would hate to not have my luggage on the trip.

Hi everyone. I'm getting excited for our cruise on the breeze in a couple weeks. I'm trying to tie up loose ends for the trip. One thing I would like some opinions on is transportation from the port of Miami to the Fort Lauderdale airport. In the past I've done the transfers through carnival but we almost missed our flight because they won't leave without the bus filling up. Any better options out there? Thanks for the help. This is our honeymoon cruise and between wedding planning and cruise planing I feel like my brain in fried!

Soda was all in cans last time I took a cruise. They will probably just pour one in your mug.

I am traveling on the breeze in a couple weeks and plan on getting the cheers program for the first time. I'm wondering if there are certain bars I have to order at when using cheers? Can it be used at the casino? Also, can you use it in the dining room?

Hi everyone! I'm going on my honeymoon cruise next month and have purchased Faster to the Fun. It's been awhile since I've taken a cruise and first time with FTTF. I'm wondering about the cabins. I know it said that if I had FTTF that my cabin would be ready when I board the ship. Last time I was on a Carnival ship they had the halls blocked off with doors saying rooms would be ready later. Do they still have these up and if so how do you access your room if you have FTTF?

Also, we leave out of Miami and I'm wondering if I have to do anything special when I arrive for boarding? Is there a special area for FTTF at the port?

Alright, I'm back from my Breeze cruise. I purchased just the Value package ($5 per day or $25 for length of cruise).

 

You can access Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Snapchat and some other social media sites. This also lets you use Facebook Messenger for text only. Voice and video didn't work.

 

In Facebook, you can post and read your newsfeed but you can't access websites that show in your feed - such as a story posted by the New York Times or your local newspaper. That was a little annoying but it kept me spending too much time on there. I'm sure I could have upgraded for that access. It does not allow you to check email.

 

The best part was that iMessage worked. We are an Apple family - everyone has an iPhone. When you are logged in to the package, you can text other iPhone users just like at home. I checked in at home each evening just to make sure my mother (and cat) were fine.

 

This is independent of the Fun Hub app. You pay $5 per person for the chat function for the entire length of the cruise. You can then text other users. It was flawless for us. I heard non-iPhone users had some trouble. We never did. Just be sure to download the Fun Hub app before you sail away while you have internet service.

How do you purchase the Internet on board? Do you go somewhere to buy it or buy through your phone?

You are going to find super rates in July. Start with Intercontinental, a nice hotel with rooms facing the water if requested. 5 min. from Bayside.

But in July you might even look at a couple more ...J W Marriott Marquis and Epic.

 

What date do you need? July usually offers great deals on discount sites.

We would need July 17. Our cruise leaves July 18. We've stayed at the intercontinental before and we liked it but we didn't have a port view. Are the other hotels you listed in walking distance from bayside? We like to go there to shop and eat.

Hi everyone! My soon-to-be husband and I are going on the breeze in July as our honeymoon trip. We are now searching for a hotel in Miami for the day prior to the sailing. Hi everyone! My soon to be husband and I plan to take a cruise for our honeymoon. He only has an enhanced license and no passport. The cruise is a closed loop cruise, starting and ending in the same US city and travels to saint Maarten, Saint Kitts, San Juan, and Grand Turk. I know in the past an enhanced license was valid form of documentation for closed loop cruises but since its been a couple years since we have gone on a cruise I just wanted some verification that he will be ok to board. I have written to carnival to verify but they haven't responded yet and we are getting anxious to book the trip as it is filling up. Any help is greatly appreciated!
