The price being higher doesn't surprise me at all, what isn't in life any more. 

I just don't remember ever seeing the one way trips costing more then a round trip.  

I wonder if the land&sea combos are getting more popular,  causing higher demand for the one way cruise?  

Might have to change our plans a bit. 

We did an Alaska cruise this past summer, and would like to revisit in 2025.

Looking at the current pricing, it isn't making sense compared to what we previously had.

For 2025 the one way trips are 25% or so higher then the roundtrip options, when we booked the previous cruise the one ways were approx 10% lower.

Did something change, or am I just looking to far ahead?

We are going to Mexico in January and have some questions about flights home. 

We disembark on a Friday, the itinerary has us arriving at 7am. We can carry our own bags to save time. And will UBER to the airport. How early can we safely make it to LAX?

The flight I would like to make is at 12:30. Which will get us home five hours earlier then anything later.  This is by far the preferred option, but I understand if it doesn't work.

If that will be too tight. We can leave LA at 2:30, with a 5 hour layover in Seattle. Or 6pm with an hour in Seattle.  With having bags in tow, what would you do in LA to kill time until the flight? Or should we just hang out in the lounge in Seattle?

princess is a 15 per day limit

We are headed to Alaska soon in our first cruise. Somebody I know has a leftover coffee punch card that they said I could have. We are going before they are officially gone, and it is unsigned/no date.

Is it going to be a problem using it in our first cruise?

We are looking at doing or first cruise and have our eye set on heading south from Anchorage on the Golden Princess, leaving on July 6th. The price and dates work for us better then the other options we've looked at.

How does the ship compare to some of the other options? I've read reviews about leaks/wet spots, is that a Golden issue, or a cruise ship issue. It is a couple hundred dollars pp cheaper, is that because of the condition of the ship?

Anything we should know before we book?

The wife and I are looking at booking our first cruise and would love some advice.

We found the southbound cruise on Golden Princess leaving July 6th that fits our budget and timetable great. Does anybody have any advice or insight for the boat or itinerary?

Would we be ok flying into Anchorage on the day of departure if it lands at 8:30am? I would think it would leave us plenty of time.

Thanks, that's what I figured, but my brain was having a hard time processing. 

The wife and I are starting to plan a cruise for next summer. We are looking at a one way boat, and then doing a diy land journey. One of the Itineraries we are looking at gets to Whittier at 12:30am. How does that work? Do you get to sleep until the morning (my guess), or do you disembark as soon as you get to Port?
