Thank you so much for you reply. Starry . This will be our very first back to back as well as we are turning diamond on the 2nd half. We are so excited.

We are doing a B2B on Navigator in April. We want to bring on a couple of bottles of wine for the two of us. My question is....since we wont be able to go anywhere to purchase a couple more, do you think they would hold the extra 2 in the "naughty" room.. to be picked up when we reboard? :D
-
I see nothing wrong with that....I mean, how hard is it to keep track of your towels? Folks are always making a big deal about "losing" your towel.....really? Who "loses" their towels???
LOL....I'm guessing the same people that are always losing their glasses, cell phone, keys, etc. :D

Can anyone recommend a good snorkeling tour that doesn't include sharks and rays? I'm just not interested in that.

We will be on the Navigator for the April 19 sailing. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if that's spring break anywhere in the area? Just curious :D

We really like the traditional dining experience we have always had on RCI. Its so enjoyable to have the same wait staff every night and develop a relationship with them as the cruise progresses. I like being able to look forward to seeing the different menu each night.
It is said that with DD you get to go to a different restaurant every night, with a different table, a different wait staff, and a different menu every night. HELLO? I can do that at home!
I'm glad it may be awhile before they initiate this fleet wide. However, for us, it will be just one more reason that we are no longer be (as they say)...loyal to Royal.
We are ,however, very much looking forward to our April cruise on the Navigator. Blessings to all, and Happy Cruising! :)

Thanks very much for the link Carl. I found the answer to my question.

Would someone please explain to me how dynamic dining works? I'm not sure if I would like it, but my friend went on a Disney cruise and loved it ( or at least their version of it.)

Sorry, when I posted my reply, I didn't realize that you were going to Galveston Cruise Terminal, not Bayport Cruise Terminal. So, my info wasn't that helpful.
However, I can tell you that the La Quinta is just a short distance from the SpringHill Suites where we stayed. There are NO nearby dining choices besides Taco Cabana and NO places to buy wine in that area. That's why we appreciated the shuttle service provided by SpringHill Suites. They took us to Walmart (so we could get our wine) and they also would have taken us to a restaurant.
You might want to ask the La Quinta if they provide a similar shuttle service. If not, you are really stuck in a pretty desolate area.
That's quite alright. Thank you for BOTH of your replies. I was just very surprised that I did not hear from 1 single person that has stayed there.:)
I have spoken to them and they have assured me they have a shuttle that will take us places as well as to and from the port. I researched the Pasadena Taxi, and from the results it sounded like you had very good luck with them, while many have not. Again, thank you very much for your reply.

Really? Isn't there anyone out there that has used this and has some info for me?

We WERE loyal to royal until we discovered they had changed the points system and we would no longer be diamond on our next cruise. We were also extremely upset when they completely pulled out of the west coast. That being said...we still love RCI.
Because of these things we did try a Princess cruise from San Francisco ( extremely convenient for us) and loved it. We do have a cruise scheduled on the Navigator OTS this April and are really looking forward to it.
That being said we are no longer hooked on just 1 cruise line and looking forward to being pampered on our future choices. :D Who knows, we may never get the chance to be Diamond level on Royal, but we will be happy travelers whoever we sail with because we are so blessed to be able to cruise at all. Happy sailing to all!

if you list that you wil laccept an upgrade and then you don't like the location, can you keep your original stateroom?

We are staying at LaQuinta near the Hobby airport. It is giving us transportation to and from airport as well as to and from the Galveston cruiseport. 1 room with2 queens for 4. Total Price is $292.49.
I have posted this on the Gulf Coast departures thread for possible negatives of this. But it sounds great for our needs.

We are staying at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites near the Hobby airport . We booked their cruise and stay package which includes shuttle to and from airport and hotel as well as shuttle to Galveston cruiseport and back to airport after the cruise. The total price for the 4 of us is $292.00.
This seems very reasonable to me. My question to all of you who might know...what are the drawbacks to this plan that I might not be aware of? My one thought is that it might not be close to any restaurants or store at which we could pick up some water and wine precruise...
I will greatly appreciate any input. Thank you....Donna

On the advice of a previous poster, we booked the LaQuinta near Hobby airport. For 4 of us it was $292.49, which included transport from airport to hotel, to the cruiseport next day and transport back to the airport upon cruise return.

Is there a balcony discount for Emerald level, and if so, how does it work? we haven't cruised since we reached Emerald.

RCI left us so we will probably be leaving them. :( Before you jump all over me ....let me explain. We absolutely love RCI, it is our favorite. The simple truth is, we live in California and since they left us we have to fly anywhere to sail with them. With the new SF terminal opening up, we have many more options. With what we save on airfare and hotels we can cruise more. I will continue to hope that they return to the West coast.:)

Thank you all so much. Now I understand.:) I know we will have a wonderful time on the Navigator next April, regardless of our level!

We have 5 --7night cruises and 4---4night cruises on RCCI , all before 2010. Can anyone explain to me how we would only have 76 points. We booked another 7day cruise recently, we were so disappointed to discover we are not yet Diamond, as we thought our last cruise put us there. Although this will in no way dampen our cruise, I would just like to understand how these were calculated. When they changed the points system in 2011 would they have altered points we already had. I would be very grateful for an explanation. Thank you....Donna

Gee..too bad RCCL doesn't make offers like this...we sailed with them many times plus spent lots in the casino. We are trying Princess for the first time and are very excited about it.
-
We have cruised many times on RCCL, but this is our first on Princess.(RT..SF to Hawaii on March 22). We are very excited. My question is...are the staterooms ready when you board, or do you have to wait until a certain time?
On RCCL we always had to take our carry ons with us to the buffet.

If any of the places visited haveentrance fees are they included in the price?
