Anyone do swim with nurse sharks excursion?

Hi. I heard Belize has one of the best coral reefs in the world. But I heard (is it called Shark Ray Alley) this excursion is expensive (almost $200) because it's far and you have to fly there. Has anyone done a snorkeling excursion that involved nurse sharks that's not too expensive? Or are they all by this reef? Are there any that are closer to port?

Before going to Belize look up Coral Breeze Tours for a super snorkeling trip off of Caye Caulker as well as a great local lunch on Caye Caulker. Their second stop is where you swim with the nurse sharks.

We go with them two times each year & highly recommend them.

Yes, we have done it. You fly to Ambergris Caye. It was one of the best excursions we have ever done.

This post talks tons about the fly and snorkel trip and from what I have read it is about $105 per person if you book it with Eco tours belize. I think it may be slightly cheaper, like $5 -10 if you book the flight and the snorkling on your own but then again the cab fare to the airport may make up the difference.

Haven't used them, but have found good reviews and you go to Shark Ray Alley.
