Switching Cabins

My Wife had a free cruise booked. I now have booked a Premier Cruise on same sailing. We have asked two adult friends to join us. Has anyone been able to switch names after boarding to include S&S account? Or at least switch it so two people don't have to carry around 2 cards, one for room and one for your folio?

I know some of you out there have experience with this, please advise or tell me what you did.

Thanks!!!

We have cruised with Carnival newbies twice so far.

Being Past Guests and Platinum, we booked the woman in my cabin and the man in my husband's cabin for each cruise. Upon embarkation, we all went to Guest Services. We asked for our S&S cards to be reprogrammed so the spouses could share cabins. The transaction took all of three minutes. My husband's obc credit was still on his S&S account after the switch.

That is awesome to hear and the exact situation. We are taking two adults for first cruise, assigning one to each of our rooms.. This is great to know.
