Hey, Fellow Seabourn Sailors!

We're sailing Seabourn for the 1st time and can't wait to finally meet you! Putting faces to these names will be fun; the only one I might recognize is Miss Martita...

If you are on this sailing, please reply and share something Seabourn-wonderful to look forward to as we pack!

'til Sunday,

Barbara Malony

BTW: Ladies, any wardrobe suggestions???

Barbara~~~~I am so happy that you confirmed your booking! I have you two on my invitation list for the "Eggnog Social".........(I had read quite some time ago that you had booked the Dec. 12th sailing) WELCOME to our wonderful world of Seabourn! I must again, however, warn you.........ONCE SEABOURN, ALWAYS SEABOURN! It's sheer bliss!.~~~~being spoiled is good for us!

As to ward robe, we'll have 2 formal evenings, the Prickly Island picnic, and probably an evening/dinner under the stars, a deck barbeque. Oh, and the Eggnog party--dress is "holiday." We have a Guest Chef, from Vancouver, named Rob Feenie. He owns a 5 * restaurant. He'll be bringing his financee' also. Her name is Michelle. We're happy to "welcome both of them!"

So happy 'yall with be with us! By the way, where is your home?

We'll see you Sunday!

Martita B.

As a somewhat seasoned cruiser, I find that less is better, clothing wise. One only needs 1 formal outfit, and a black dress with a few tops goes a long way. However, for our 'Divine Miss M's" party, all bets are off!

Meet you soon!

Jane~~~~as I dearly love to dress up in my "glitz", sometime I remind myself, "well, 'ya know, the Captain and all the Officer's will have on their same 'ole uniforms!" In fact, one time, I wore a really pretty OLD Bob Mackie cocktail suit to a Club party and met Captain Rodahl at the Constellation door and said, to him, "Captain, I KNOW you've seen this suit, well, you have ON your SAME outfit!" We both howled! We do have fun!

Dress for "The All Come All Ye' Thirsty Eggnog Social" is holiday! And that's easy! I think we'll probably have between 35-40. A good "visitin'" bunch of Sailors.

See 'ya Sat. at the CC Beach Hotel.

Barbara,

Can't wait to see your reaction to Seabourn -- I can assure you it is beyond all expectation (even when your expectations are high). Here is a little glimpse of how they exceed your expecations -- you are perhaps tired of hearing how the dining room staff will know your name by the second evening -- but it gets even better. Not only do they know YOU they know who you have become friendly with on the cruise and when you enter the dining room they say "Good evening Mr and Mrs S -- are you joining anyone this evening or would you like a table for two over by your friends Mr and Mrs X?"

My wardrobe suggestions are mix and match -- that way you get more outfits for varying circumstances/weather and pack less.

Welcome to the Seabourn Club!!!

Wow...how will I even SLEEP the next few nights?

Miss Martita - how gracious of you to put us on the party list! 35 - 40...that's

alotta eggs (and nog...LOL); I feel as if I know you already. Home is the

"Jersey Shore" on the coast about midway bet. NYC and Atlantic City (used to work

for the Casino Control Comm., NJ's gaming regulatory agency).

Jane - you nailed me: the quintessential over-packer; you and my hubby are

going to get along GREAT - my packing makes him NUTS

Cruisin Matt - thanks; wish you were coming with us

Chairsin - you'd better be there to catch me when I faint! I do LOVE to be

spoiled, and this sounds like the epitome!

I know boarding is 3:00 PM; what time do you all plan to be at the pier?

Barbara~~~~

Forgot to mention........if you or Hubby would enjoy having a "standing order" of your favorite food, when you board, stroll down to the dining room and tell Lulu, the Maitre'D. Perhaps you would like a "flaming desert" one evening.......just mention it the day before! Hopefully, the desert waiter won't "flame it" so high as to it hittin' the sprinkler system! Several times this has happened.....once on formal night! Thank goodness for Eric De Grey......he came running and stuck his finger on the "sprinkler button"........Eric is 6' 7"! What a sight, though! Everyone at the table was drenched..........we didn't care......and the "bananas Foster" was dee-licious!

A Seabourn ship is akin to "Cheers"........everybody seems to know your name!

Welcome again!

See 'ya Sunday.......as we need to board early, let's meet in the Sky Bar around 4 or give me a ring, #223
