I will post a review which is just my opinion. I normally try not to post anything as i hate trolls and arguements but since it was so nice to read some past reviews before my trip, i thought i would give back. If you have any questions post them here and i will get back to you.

I appreciate the time & effort that goes into posting a review & I promise not to be a troll:) I'm been on the Voyager class & Freedom class ships and am now looking into taking a cruise on Allure. Did you find long lines in any certain areas and did you book the shows prior to boarding? Anything else special about this class of ships that I need to know?

I had been on the Freedom class many times but nothing compares to the Allure, it is in a class of its own. Although i thought that i would be able to do everything i was wrong. The ship is huge and i went with my husband, son 19, and daughter 27 and there was much to keep up busy. As for the shows i did do the reservations on line and in 2 of the shows they did scan our cards to make sure we had reservation but on the Aqua show they did not and we ended up having to stand and had 2 seats for the 4 of us, all the way in the bar stool area.

The thing you should know and be aware of the beds are as hard as a rock and they offer no bed crates which makes for sleeping nightmare. In addition we had a Boardwalk room on the 12 floor which is noisy and i mean noisy way past 10pm and I am not one to be bothered by noise and can even sleep with the tv on so that being said i hope you have a different room.

We are Diamond member and always have enjoyed Crown and Anchor but this trip forget about this area as there are never any seating available after 430 and the coffee machine is never working, broken or being cleaned, while im there. Thank goodness for Starbucks i need my expresso darn them.

The shows are good to great. Ice show is great, headliner okay and Mama Mia which i was so looking forward to well we left after 45 minutes.

The casino, we lost at the end but the machines actually paid well for a while and it was fun. After 2600 points you get a free cruise which is easily obtainable.

As for the islands we have been to Nassua many times and went to Baha Mar casino which was wonderful and empty but we were only there for short time 8/1 and had to be on ship by1230 so no so good. I did leave with 800 and we will be back.

As for St Thomas times are 1/8 and the captain told us to be back at the port before sundown as there were no lights and dangerous past sundown so anouther 3 hours.Another short trip. We did stay by the pier for music and drinks it was very nice and the islanders tried very hard to make us happy

As for St Croix we went to Frigete Bay nice place terrible casino and the beach is a long walk and my ankle was very swollen. Great place to shop and negotiate.

Windjamer is too small for such a big ship but they make up for it with all the other options on the ship. We did windjammer in the solarium for breakfast as it was not full at all.

The Cafe was great for salads and sandwich only full when just opens and 5 minute wait time.

The dinning room food was okay the food was never hot and not very tasty. Deserts, nothing special.

Overall it was the best of all ships. The crew was nice other then Crown and Anchor i think they may be overworked there.

I wrote a review but it has not been posted yet

I want to added another important thing always check your charges i mean daily. They charged me for thing which were free under Diamond member photo etc..... I had to keep going to guest services to have them reversed.

I was also on this cruise...

..um we never went to St Croix. We went to St Kitts. :o :p

St Kitts was by far the best port and I have now been to one of best beaches I've ever experienced.

The ship should have never even considered Nassau and should have gone straight to St Thomas to get proper port times. Many of us only got 1.5 hours at Megens Bay because it shut down at 5 and traffic was insane.

That was my only beef with this cruise. Otherwise I was very happy with everything else.

I’m also gonna do a review. As soon as the sways stop! :p

My bad yes St Kitt and yes it was very nice but all the ports were too short.

As for the cruise i would rate it a 4 out of 5 as sleeping is something i enjoy on vacation and there were several other issues. Royal is not considered the best for its food but it is okay just for the first time the food was never hot and warm at best. I did not complain as i understand there are many people on ship and I was not sure if it was the waiters fault and did not want to get anyone in trouble after all its a vacation and as long as i dont have to cook and wash dishes its good just not great.

I would go on this class again as i enjoyed the ship but would make some adjustments my choices. Maybe different room and bring my own bed crate and specialty restaurant. I do think they need to improve crown and anchor as it was a joke to go in there and enjoy it and this is something i cant change so I complain about it.

The staff was nice as was the ship and all there is to do onboard was great which makes for a nice family vacation. Hopefully the islands will be better and we can stay longer.

Wanted to mention bit about the spa. I did the massage which included the foot massage as i needed it since for some reason my ankles kept swelling, it may have been all the walking. Anyways she talked me into the salt scrub for an additional 20 but she neglected to tell me that because of the massage it would take away from the massage so instead i ended up with a foot srub and that kind of bothered me. In the past when you used the spa you were able to use the sauna but that is not longer the case.

My 109 special ended up being 160 and i didnt even get a foot massage so i wasnt too happy about that.

My son on the other hand spend 400.00 in the spa and loved all of it, which goes to show you it just depends on whom you get.
