Constance331 Posted June 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2014 If the bed is split into 2 twins, where one is up against the porthole wall, are you still able to open & close the bedroom door? I had read here that splitting beds in a RS will not allow the door to then close...:(
Project_gal Posted June 30, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2014 (edited) Yes, the bed is right up to the porthole wall and no, it is not easy to open and close the door. We just kept the door open because there was just the two of us in the suite. You probably could open and close the door but pushing the end of the bed out of the way while you did it but it would be a nuisance. Having said all that, it does not make sense because the beds take up very little extra room! I am wondering if the first time we had a RS, the bed was right against the porthole wall and we could open/close the door but the next time it was arranged differently with the bedside table [nightstand] against the porthole wall and we could not open/close the door. My plan is to request the twin bed be pushed against the porthole wall (not the nightstand) which should enable the door to open/close. I imagine this will resolve the issue, from what you are saying, ProjectGal?
cruisefreaks Posted June 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2014 (edited) We had no problem with the bedroom door on the Infinity. Twin beds with one next to the wall / porthole and the table in between, lots of room to swing the door :) Edited June 30, 2014 by cruisefreaks
