Help - Someone in senior in MSC UK

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help! We booked MSC Seaside cabin 13062 departing on the 30th of June 18 from Miami. This was a 5 person cabin, balcony with whirlpool. This was originally for 5 and due to University issues, we cancelled my daughter off the booking in August 2017. This has now resolved itself we are trying to add our daughter back onto to the cabin.

The travel agent, Barrhead Travel and MSC have stated that the cabin is now configured for 4 and cannot be changed back to 5 and are looking for us to move cabin at a significant cost, i.e. 18% uplift. It just seems to be a computer issue but cannot get anyone senior to over-ride at MSC. Our other family member's across the cabin in 13065 have 5 people in theirs and booked at the same time.

Does anyone have a good contact at MSC that could maybe help?

Thanks in anticipation.

Alan

The cabin may be able to hold 5, but the muster area for that part of the ship might have reached capacity, in which case they would only allow 4. I've seen something similar where a cabin for 4 will only be allowed to have 2 people in it.
