Booking a World Cruise

We sail quite a lot but have never done a W/C...or Grand Voyage as they are now looking at 2020. Over time we've booked on ship/on shore/Cunard price/early saver and such a last minute saver we've been travelling to Southampton within a week. The W/C is the biggie though. Are there any tips for getting the best deal?

i was on a WC in 2016 and booked it the minute it came out in 2014 REASON -- you lock in a rate and perks and if the cruise goes down they will drop the fare you need to have a good agent to monitor it or you have to do it yourself

Not in the UK I’m afraid. Once booked you are locked in to price and with no cancellation, without losing deposit.

We booked our 2015 WC with a TA who we had got to know quite well. They were really helpful; we had long discussions on where the best stateroom would be for us; and they rang us regularly to inquire if we needed any help with things. For us it was good to know that there was someone we could talk any issues through.
