jewliana Posted October 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2017 I have reviewed the Liberty before and will be glad to answer any questions. We love everything about her! However, this cruise did have a few twists and turns. We were in Port Canaveral till almost 8pm due to maintenance issues. The captain told us this would have nothing to do with our making it to Nassau on time the next morning. Woke up to a different tune. Captain says we wont arrive till 2pm (instead of 10am) but he had good news. We were going to stay over night and not leave until 2p Saturday. Ummm....good news to who?? I am one of those that have been to Nassau a zillion times and dont get off the ship. I really missed having a luxurious Sea Day. Like everyone says...a day on a cruise is nothing to complain about...so I wont. I still love the Liberty but think maybe something else was going on? Perhaps more maintenance work? I cant imagine why the ship would stay overnight then so long in Nassau the next day. They had to have lost a lot of money with Casino and shops not being open all that time in port... 24 hours! Namelocg Posted October 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2017 We were in Nassau on a Royal Caribbean ship when they closed Key West and Coco Cay for hurricane Irma. We wound up staying there from 7 AM on Tuesday until 4 PM on Wednesday, 36 hours. They did open the shops and casino at 7 PM that night. We still had a great time. easyboy Posted October 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2017 You are right. Never thought of their loss in potential revenues in casino and shops while in port. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sharse Posted October 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2017 I was on the cruise right before yours and we had no issues of any kind, at lest that we were made aware of or impacted our itinerary. I wonder if the cruise after yours had any problems?
