Jewel cabin 8050, Obstructed?

We are booked for Alaska next July, in cabin 8050 on the Norwegian Jewel. I've spent a couple of hours searching here, and I've read conflicting opinions about how obstructed the view is from this cabin. Many of the threads are several years old. Some say it's great-- no obstruction, and a few say there is a small boat in front of the window.

Has anyone recently sailed her? Anyone have pictures of the room?

Regardless, we can't wait!!! It'll be our first time on NCL and we are thrilled to be going to Alaska.

It's the first OBSTRUCTED Oceanview cabin, starboard side - zoom it this linked picture image closely, lower left corner - there is a "small" rescue/speed-lifeboat compared to the bigger lifeboat to its left - your stateroom will be overlooking that toward the horizon.

It is not as "obstructed" as other staterooms further back, with varied percentage of obstruction, depending ...

Just a reminder that during the cruise - while at sea and docked, maintenance crew will be outside on the narrow walkway - doing work & inspections, etc. - do keep your curtains closed while changing & sleeping ... not that they will be peeking into all the staterooms while out on the catwalk. They do power wash, spray & even paint rust spots when needed to help maintain the ship's overall conditions & appearance, etc.

Hi OP,

Much like yourself I have spent many hours reading reviews of Jewel cabin 8050, most of which say it is partially obstructed and some that say it is completely obstructed. Mking put up a great pic..looks like you have some partial view from that cabin.

Can you confirm? What percent obstruction is 8050??
