Horizon/Vista vs NCL Breakaway and/or RCL Anthem?

Family of 4... two boys 15 and 18 sailing in July 2018. Want to get views of the Breakaway and/or Anthem vs Carnival's Horizon (or Vista since I understand them to be similar).

Boys very active, Parents love shows and food.

Thoughts from the Pro's at Cruising?

Sounds like your cruising out of NY.... That being the case I would suggest the Anthem.... and this is coming from a Carnival Platinum cruiser.

You will find all 3 ships to be wonderful and lots of activities. However with 2 teenage boys,,,The Anthem will offer much more for them. It's one of RCCL's mega ships so its like living in a city and lots to do from shows to food to relaxation. ports of call will be similar due to cruising from NY and not being able to go to far south. You probably can't go wrong either way....But Anthem gets my preference. Happy sailing

Another Carnival Platinum cruiser and I too would pick the Anthem. I didn't like the Vista and will avoid Horizon for the time being.

I am Diamond on Royal and Platinum on Carnival. I just came off of the Vista and was not impressed, go with Anthem you'll love it!

Breakaway is my choice. We’ve been on her two times and will still her again in a few months. Our last cruise was the Vista. We loved the Vista as well, but think Breakaway is more suited for the teenagers. Can’t go wrong with any of your choices.
