Veendam Main Deck - noise from Lower Promenade above?

We are looking into getting an outside cabin on the Veendam main deck. My only concern is that the promenade is above these cabins, and I wonder if we'll hear shoes tapping overhead all day. Is that an issue? Thanks!!!

We had an Main Deck OV cabin on the Veendam this spring and noise from the deck above was not an issue. We heard an occasional chair being moved and the infrequent jogger (a no no on the LP deck) but didn't notice regular foot traffic noise.

We were 50 days on the Rotterdam on that lower oV deck and never heard anything from people walking the LP deck. Bonus was a longer cabin and more closet space than OV cabins on a higher deck.

I am a 5 star Mariner and I always book this kind of cabin. I have never had a problem, especially at night when there is rarely anybody out there. As has been said, you get a nice large cabin with 4 cupboards and lots of drawers in the desk. As they are lower in the ship, there is minimal movement especially if you book towards the middle.

Been on Main desk on all the R class ships and 4 times on Veendam.Other than an occasional chair scraping sound it was absolutely quiet. I also second the recommendation of the Main Deck OVs.

Was on the Volendam, R class. I had a mid ship room on this deck. Once/twice in the early morning maybe they were moving a lounger, but nothing that really bothered me.
