PelicanBill Posted October 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2017 My 18 year old daughter is quite interested in Karaoke on our upcoming Breakaway cruise. Can anyone tell me, about Breakaway or similar ships... What is the crowd singing? Is it kids, adults, or a mix? How often is it done (Fat Cats on Breakaway) ? Is there a big selection of songs (she likes songs from Broadway musicals a lot)? Can you bring your own CD+G discs? Thanks much in advance
Weetahbugdotcom Posted October 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2017 It was a big range of people- from super talented very serious people singing classics to frat boys singing n-sync terribly (one carrying a ukelele for a pretend guitar solo) to old men singing silly country songs and really getting into it. There was tons of broadway stuff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
xriva Posted October 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2017 Most of the crowd is singing off-key. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Chocolate Teapot Posted October 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2017 I was on Getaway earlier this year and Karaoke was almost every night in Fat Cats. I found the selection of songs was limited. (I had assumed it would be identical on all NCL ships). The lack of Abba particularly shocked me. There was also a game one night in the Atrium called "Sing it if you know it" and that was like Karaoke with a live band.
