Can you handle more Legend pics?

Here are many more Legend pics. We just returned from our trip and enjoyed it, as we always enjoy a cruise. Although some of the art was not my style and several areas need repairs, the ship is beautiful and overall an excellent choice. I will post a review later, but want to share these pictures in the meantime.

WARNING: This is a spoiler alert... if you do not want to know what the ship looks like before you cruise, do not read further. I took plenty of pics! :D

The Casino: It was very smokey here and I did not spend much time here. However, during our cruise we were informed that Carnival is changing the smoking policy at the end of the year to match the policy of the Dream. They said that they have had very positive response regarding the new smoking policy on the Dream and will therefore be implementing it fleet-wide at the end of this year.

Here is a map of the layout of the restaurant, with many different choices. The "taste of the nations" varied daily, including Caribbean, American, Italian, French, and chocolate buffet (last day).

The Tampa Bridge:

We went under the bridge at about 6:10 p.m. on the first day. On the way back, I laid awake and decided to go up on deck and take more pics. We passed under the bridge around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

Thanks for sharing! We will also be boarding the Legend on Nov. 6th.

Did you go to the steakhouse? Do you have any pictures of the pools? I can't wait to read your review.

No, we did not go to the steakhouse. We generally try to keep our onboard expenses low so that we can save up for the next cruise. :D

I do have pics of the pools, coming right up.

Thank You for posting pictures....I look forward to your review! I will be sailing Legend November 6, 2011 and can't wait....What deck did you stay on?

Thanks,

Dayna:)

We were on deck 8. We got a last minute past passenger deal for an extended balcony that was cheaper than the inside cabin! It was a GREAT deal, but if it were not for the low price we paid, I would not recommend deck 8. We were under the pool and did hear the scraping of chairs around 3 am each night and again at about 6 am. I stayed up from 2am until 5 am on the last night to take pics of the bridge and to enjoy the quiet ship. I saw why we heard the chairs at those times. Between 1 am and 3 am, they stack the pool chairs to spray the decks clean. Then, around 6 am they put the chairs out again.

It did not spoil my vacation in any way, but I would opt for deck 7 or 6 in future.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the pictures! For those planning and packing, have fun! I will post a few tips here, because my review will not be done in time for this week's departure.

My top tip: Do not miss the Fun Farewell on the last sea day. Ours was in the Firebird lounge. They serve free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, but this is only mentioned briefly on your first day Fun Times. Most people probably don't even read it, or forget about it by 5 pm on the last day! On a ship with more than 2600 passengers, only about 80 people showed up for the free drinks! I bet most of them are from cruise critic...

I will share more tips later.

On with the pics... Here is the glass staircase. I could not capture how beautiful it is in the pictures, but here are some attempts.

The Photo Gallery: In the first picture, there are doors behind the art work that they open when the photo gallery is open. This was during off hours with the portrait photos hidden behind the art work.

What room on deck 8? We'll be on that deck march 2011.

Thanks, your picures are great!

We were in 8169. You may be okay if you are below the Unicorn Buffet. However, if you can change without a surcharge, I would switch to a different deck. I have read many mixed reviews stating that there is noise, and then someone would write that they did not hear any noise. I can tell you the noise is very present and very real if you are under the pool deck. Since I am not someone who complains easily, I thought some people are just overly sensitive, but that was not the case. The other thing is, on Wednesday night they had a Lido deck party. Since we have a 6 year old, we do not attend these late night events. Well, we heard the bass drum through the balcony door until the WEEEEE hours of the night. Hope this helps :)

The Mini-golf course. This was fun, but definitely in need of some repairs. You can see how the carpet is torn up. It allowed for some additional challenge :D

Drinks for purchase on the ship: I see the prices are a bit small to read on these smaller pics. If you press control + on your computer, it will make them a bit larger in the browser. If all else fails, I will type the prices in upon request.:)
