Mini Inspiration Review

Hi everyone. We are back from the Inspiratin 4 day Easter cruise. We had a fantastic time. Nice to be back on the water again. Weather was perfect and the ship was better than expected after all the so ,so reviews I have read in the past. Sailed at about 4:30 but we were on the ship by 12:00 so we had lots of time to get to know her. We were in the Mari Gras for dinner each night and did not have a great server, infact, they were terrible. Unfortunately, they could not speak english very well so it was difficult to get our orders accross to them. That I could have overlooked if they were not trying to rush us through dinner every night! We had late, late seating at 8:30 so we thought we could linger at the table and have a relaxed dinner, not the case. They would hover with our next course in their hands, even trying to take the previous one away before we were done. Finally, we were holding onto our plates so they wouldn't try to grab them LOL. They food was good, had better but we were certainly happy with it. Our room stewards were amazing! Our girls, 9 and 5 did stay in the cabin next to us ( by the way, we had planned on one parent in each room but they wanted to try sleeping together and it worked great). They kept eveything tidy and our ice bucket filled.

We spent most of our time on the lido deck enjoying the beautiful sunshine. My children did not participate much the childrens programs but they were on a Disney cruise last year and had been spoiled. My 5 year old was looking for Cinderella to read her a bed time story LOL. We were traveling with another family and their 15 year old daughter was the hightlight of the trip for them. My only complaint about the program would be the size of the playroom for the 2 - 5 year olds...way too small. They staff was fantastic, very warm and loving with the kids. My 5 year old took part in 2 activities and did enjoy the staff. The one she enjoyed the most was a Easter Egg hunt all over the ship but I had as much fun as she did!!

We deceded not to get off the ship in Cozumel. We were having such a great time on board and with only a 4 day crusie, we liked the empty pools. We were in Cozumel last year so, just happy to be on the ship!

Spent way too much time in the Casino without a win. NOBODY was winning but we keep going back. The slots were very tight.

Getting off the ship was easy. Being Canadian we did have to wake up for 6:15 immigration but we were expecting that. Went for breakfast, packed up our last things and we were off the ship by 9:30.

We had a great time and would sail with carnival again. Looking forward to booking one of the larger ships soon. I am suffering from pcd but I am off to New Orleans in 2 weeks, something to look forward to.

Thanks to everyone for all your help over the past couple of months. Let me know if there are any questions you need answered.

We Also Have The Late Seating...hope They Don't Rush. Also, How Long Did It Take You To Get On The Ship And What Time Did You Arrive? I Have Never Sailed Out Of Tampa. Thanks For YouR Reply If You Get This In Time!

Hi we were at the port at 11:20 and on the ship by 12:15...not busy. They call your number, have your picture taken and of you go. The entertainment was good. Piano bar was terrible!! Vegas style shows were great, my girls loved them. The ship was full 1300 children!! We did not feel like we were overrun with children. Lots of teenage kids, looked like they were having a blast! Hope I answered all your questions...have a fantastic time. Wish I were heading back on.

We will be there on the 9th of May, and counting down the days. We plan on being at the dock at around 11:30 A.M., glad to hear that you got on so quickly, we are looking forward to getting on-board and start exploring. Anything else you can share will be great.

Matt

Racegrrl, We spent far too much time in the Casino but we did see the final performance of the karaoke (sp). They have got nerve to get up on that stage. Loved the guy playing outside the casino, spent 2 nights listening to him. (can't remember his name!)
