Just booked a rear facing cat. SF rear facing suite on the Gem. Decks 9 and 10 were sold out. It is located right above the nightclub Bliss. Does anyone know of any sound issues in this location? Anyone stay here and have a comment. Luckily when we are on vacation we stay up kind of late, like 1 or 2am, every night. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Mark C.:)

We were in 8132. We did not have any noise problems from Bless. We preferred our deck 8 SF over the deck 9 SF we stayed in because of the balcony size.

There have been quite a few comments about the noise from these cabins. Here is one set of comments I found doing a search:

"We found the Deck 8 aft location on the Gem to be very noisy at night because of the Bliss Lounge disco being directly underneath. It wasn't the bowling alleys that were the problem...it was the loud music until the wee hours that you could both hear and feel (due to the vibrations generated by the bass speakers). "

If you do a general search you will find several/many of the same comments.

Good luck, perhaps if you are a night owl, you will stay out beyond the hours of operation and the noise will not be an issue.

OP, please do a search on these boards. There are many complaints and since there is no difference between suites and balconies as far as how the floors are made. You will find suite guests complaining also. As you said, you like to stay up late and given that, you may be up later than the club.

Enjoy your cruise.
