darwinsrule Posted August 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2017 Just back from the August 15th Glacier Bay itinerary of the Legend. There has been a bit of a lack of details on this years cruises so we felt almost obligated to pay it forward for others planning for future cruises. Not going to do a full on review, however I am going to scan and dump every piece of of paperwork including the Fun Times and the two kids club programs we have. I also have photos of menus, lots of food porn all of which should be useful for others If there are questions I will be happy to answer them as well. Otherwise let's start with a picture. darwinsrule Posted August 25, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted August 25, 2017 Let's start with the Fun Times. I will go day by day. They are a trifold piece of paper (basically looks like they are starting with an 11"x11" square). So scanning was interesting.

darwinsrule Posted August 26, 2017 Author #14 Share Posted August 26, 2017 Can't really comment much on the clubs themselves. DD13 never went. DD9 only went for the Park Ranger in Glacier Bay. The location of the clubs really do seem to be an after thought however (the where can we put this this). Very different than out DCL and NCL experiences where they seem to have put more thought in to the location and planning.

darwinsrule Posted August 26, 2017 Author #17 Share Posted August 26, 2017 Thoughts on the Suess Breakfast: Honestly it was fun. Food was a LOT better than the Nick at Sea breakfast we had on NCL Getaway a few years ago when all you could taste was the food dye they used. At $5 per person would definitely do it again. darwinsrule Posted August 26, 2017 Author #18 Share Posted August 26, 2017 We got in to SEATAC around 9 pm the day before the cruise. With kids we booked Holiday Inn and Suites next to the airport. Hotel does need a refresh but it was one of the few with a suite availabe that way both girls get their own bed and everyone can get a good first night sleep. Breakfast was IHOP down the street (10 min walk). There isn't an IHOP in Toronto so it is a nice treat.
darwinsrule Posted August 26, 2017 Author #19 Share Posted August 26, 2017 On to the ship.. We booked the Nouveau Steakhouse for the first night. 5:30 reservation so we had nice views leaving Seattle. Steakhouse menu is online so not much point in posting it. So how about food instead. Started with a little mini burger amuse bouche Caesar mixed table side Kids filet Adult filet. Ordered medium well. Was a lot closer to well. Still yummy Lamb
