Beach Broadwalk?

Is there a "Beach broadwalk" in Aruba?

If so... where does it start and end...how long? Can you walk the beach say from the Wyndham to the Marriott Resort? How long would this take if possible? Is there an "easy beach access" somewhere. We will be coming from the cruise ship pier. Could we walk from the pier or would we need to take a taxis... to where... to start our walk? We have never been here before and I'm looking at a map of the Palm Beach area.

Thanks in advance for any info you can share with us!

Pat :)

The "boardwalk" to which you refer is located along Palm Beach. Palm Beach is much too far a walk from the cruise ship terminal. Figure 3 miles minimum from Oranjestad one way. Taxis will hold up to 5 persons and the charge is per car, not per person http://taxiaruba.com/new/farelist.html

This is a concrete walkway that extends along Palm Beach, on the ocean side, between the resort properties and actual beaches, from the Divi Phoenix north to the Holiday Inn. Below is a shot of the "boardwalk" taken in front of the Holiday Inn facing south (Marriott Resorts would be at my back). The beach and sand are off to the right of this photo.

Mileage between resorts is below. Time will depend on fast you can walk in the heat. Access is available through the front entrance of all hotels. Riu and Occidental may be exception because they are all inclusive only. You can walk the beach past the Holiday Inn to the Marriott Vaction Club Resorts (not listed below, but located between the Holiday Inn and Mariott) and ultimately the Marriott Resort. You can also gain acess to the walkway via an alley to De Palm Pier between the Riu and Radisson. There is another also between the Occidental and Hyatt but not sure how easy it is, haven't used it in a few years.

The sign below is old, but the distances are still the same. :D

For reference below: Aruba Grand is now the Riu and Allegro is now the Occidental
