staceyvols Posted January 13, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2005 Anyone? I'm interested in this and cave tubing, but the cave tubing sounds like a crawl in some very shallow water-not sure that is very exciting. I like the sound of a fast boat. Anyone? Thanks. dog Posted January 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2005 I'm considering this tour but would like to hear from others who have done it before I book.
simkoreb Posted January 17, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2005 DId you try doing a search? I have recently read on this thread or the carnival thread that they were not happy with this excursion. I wish I could tell you more, but hopefully you can locate some threads about it. I know they're out there...
oledave Posted February 2, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 2, 2005 We've pre-reserved this excursion through Princess. It seems to be the best/most reliable way to get to Caye Caulker with enough time to enjoy this laid back island. I have friends who enjoyed visits there when on a diving vacation at a resort on Amergris Caye. We just want to eat in a seafood restaurant and hang out in some of the interesting bars. You're only there about 3 hours max. I understand the shopping is limited but inexpensive. It should be a good day to chill out, as it's the last port for our 10-day Panamal Canal Cruise on the Coral Princess (2/26). Ole Dave
Dixie Ann Posted February 3, 2005 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2005 Went on the Thriller Boat ride last year and would not recommend it. The actual boat ride was fun - but the island itself had nothing to offer and you are there for 3 hours. There is a restaurant at the dock and several small shops with not much to offer. If you are interested in a boat ride and then sitting on a beach - then this is a tour for you. Be careful with your cruise ship towels though - several people in our group had them stolen off their beach chairs.
carbon Posted February 5, 2005 #8 Share Posted February 5, 2005 Hi DixieAnn, Did thriller take you to Caye Caulker? We were thinking of talking the water taxi over.
