damdamsels Posted December 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2004 Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do with my mother-in-law and mother in Grand Cayman. The beach is out so what else should we do?
zydecocruiser Posted January 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2005 Not sure, but I'll take a stab. How well do they walk? There is lots of stuff to do. Food is always an option. Sitting at a resort overlooking the water is possible. Or a restaurant. Don't have to actually touch the beach, but there may be sand. I think the butterfly farm may be back now - they had to exterminate all just pre-Ivan to make sure they didn't escape. There is a castle of some sorts, but I can't remember the details at the moment. Negotiate with a taxi for a tour around the island other than the standard one. I am somewhat surprised GeddesH hasn't offered something. If no one else chimes in, I try to wake up some more brain cells.
cali-croozer Posted January 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2005 When we were in GC, my parents (in their 80's) took one of the ship's tours to the turtle farm, hell, and, I think the rum factory???? They are not comfortable going out on their own and like the convenience of the ship tours.
