Taxi Drives / Tour Guides

HI everyone

I was just wondering about the taxi drivers... Do you hire them to show you around or do they drop you off at each place and come back...

 

I am looking for more of a tour guide than anything...

 

i was in contact with Joyce and she is booked for most of the day...

 

If anyone can give me an insight as who to hire, and how it works I would appreciate it...

 

I will be travelling with my DD age 7 and Hubby

At the pier there is a SXM Taxi Authority setup and you walk up there and a guy will show you maps of tours that are available and prices, most are $20pp(You can substitute one attraction for another). They are guided tours, unless you go to an attraction like Butterfly Farm and then you are on your own and they wait for you. All the drivers go to special training on the history and tour of the Island and are certified guides. We did a tour with Johnny 5 that included a full Island Tour with stops on the French side and the Butterfly Farm.
