I'm not sure it's a widespread sale, but my December Jewel cruise had a price reduction in the last couple of weeks.

i have been watching the prices on a cruise, some changes yesterday. balcony prices dropped on a couple of levels. NCL rep has been calling every day to tell me of the prices changes...just not enough of a drop to get me to book now.

We had price decreases last week, and again this week on our 12/09 cruise, 1/10 and 4/10 cruises. Luckily we've booked with an online TA who doesn't mind us calling weekly to get the adjustments. :)

I was thinking the Jewel right after T-giving and when they reduced $400, I jumped on it.

Those of you who got the price reductions after you booked- how do you do that? After my last booking, the price went down and our travel agent said there was nothing to be done. I'd like to book another cruise, but I'm nervous that the prices will drop the day after again. If there's some way to book and still be able to catch the lower prices, that would be great...

I believe all your TA has to do is call NCL. I always use an NCL PCC. She usually makes the adjustment for me, without having to call her. :D She takes such great care of me, she's worth her weight in gold.

I use a local TA and watch NCL and other sites for changes in pricing. If I have not made final payment I just call my TA and she handles contacting NCL for the price adjustment. The local TA has been great and never minds my calls or e-mails. I got a $200 per person reduction last week and will continue to look right up unti final payment. Even found me a coupon book for the next cruise. :p

I wish I could give you the name of my on-line TA, but unfortunately that isn't allowed here on Cruise Critic. Our TA will match any price we locate on the internet, or NCL's website right up until final payment is made They also offer free travel Insurance on top of the low rates...which is a big savings. Right now they are also giving OBC, and a free bottle of wine with certain bookings.

No price reductions on our 1/13 Gem cruise -- I still haven't booked the "girls" cabin so I'm hoping the price doesn't go UP!:cool:

 

The price on our Spirit cruise next July went UP!
