Can you bring hair straightners??

Going on a cruise for the first time in October with Royal Carribean, just wondering are you allowed back hair straightners in your luggage?? I saw on their banned items they have irons down, do they clasify these as the same thing??? :confused:

I am sure thousands of women cruise armed with their straighteners. I have done. Just be careful where you lay them. I have a pouch with a heat pad in the inside on which they sit to cool down.

Feel free to bring flat irons, curling irons, electric curlers, hair dryers (one is in the cabin)..bring extension cord as not too many outlets. Just don't plug all in at one time for safety.

 

Have a great cruise. You'll love RCCL... Don't forget to catch the Ice Show. It's amazing what they can do while sailing.

Vera Bradley makes a nice heat proof cover for hair straighteners (unplugged of course!). Before I bought one for DD, we packed along a kitchen hot pad so she didn't put the straightener directly on the desk top.
