Is there a formal Captain's Reception on the 7 days to the Mexican Rivera for suite guests? Last time we showed up late and not in tails and to our surprise EVERYONE was in tux and fancy cocktail dresses! Is there any protocol we are breaking if we show up again in shirt and slacks? :rolleyes: We hate dressing up....

Not on NCL. I am surprised you saw everyone dressed up. I never take a suit and tie on NCL, and go to all the functions.

We went to the Captain's reception and it was half and half. Takes place during the optional formal night, and when the nbulk of the formal pictures are taken. The Captain shows up for that also.:)
