Is an 8E Stateroom an extended balcony or not?

When you go the Quick Pricing on the Carnival web site it lists:

 

Stateroom categories: Standard Balcony 8A, 8B, 8D, 8F, 8H;

Extended Balcony 8C, 8E, 8G, 8I.

Balcony (obstructed view) 7A;

 

Then when you go to pick a state room the deck plans lists:

9A Premium Balcony Deck 7 Midship

8I Aft-view Extended Balcony Deck 7 Aft

8H Extended Balcony Deck 7 Midship

8E Balcony Deck 7 Midship

8D Balcony Deck 7 Forward or Aft

 

What gives, is it extended or not?

What gives is it extended or not?

 

Catagory 8E is a standard balcony cabin.

On the Spirit, 8I, 8G and 8H are extended balcony cabins.

 

8I are located aft on Main (deck 4), Upper (deck 5), Empress (deck 6), Verandah (deck 7) or Panorama (deck 8).

8G are on Main, Upper or Empress.

8H are on Verandah or Panorama.

 

8E is a regular balcony cabin located on deck 7 or 8 (verandah or panorama).

This applies to Spirit (and perhaps her sister ships Pride, Legend, & Miracle)

 

Deck 5 (Upper Deck) Cat 8G forward cabins are extended balcony's.

 

Deck 6 (Empress Deck) Cat 8G midship cabins are extended balcony's.

 

Deck 7 (Verandah Deck) Cat 8H midship cabins are extended balcony's.

 

Deck 8 (Panorama Deck) Cat 8H midship cabins are extended balcony's
