NJGRANNY Posted September 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2009 We need to find transportation for two from Miami to the port at Fort Lauderdale. Any help will be appreciated. Rather not get involved with car rental. Thanks, Jan
TrentS Posted September 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2009 If you mean from MIA (Miami airport) then it's easiest to just take SuperShuttle... http://www.supershuttle.com/Miami_airport_shuttle.aspx You could also get a car service or limo... You do not want to take a taxi that far, it's more expensive and not very comfortable over that distance. MIA to Port Everglades is about 45-60 minutes depending on traffic, longer of course during rush hour or if there's an accident.

Cologal49 Posted September 8, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 8, 2009 From FLL to Miami most here use and love SAS... http://www.ridesas.com/ I e-mailed SAS - and they sent me the name of an associate of theirs. The e-mail said that "they are so heavily reserved at the Port of Miami and do not have vans at Port Everglades." So - guess we need to try something else.

Go Shuttle is another option... http://goairportshuttle.com/
cruizin south Posted September 8, 2009 #8 Share Posted September 8, 2009 We got a limo from Miami Shereton Mart to Port Everglades last year. The limo was a large stretch and the price was pretty good. We looked up limos Miami and there were several sites that will quote the trip. The train is NOT tourist friendly, there's no place for luggage and it's rarely even close to being on time. It's also NOT connected to the airports, you'll need to take a bus to/from the airport and the stations.
