Any UK style fish and chips shops?

We'll be doing Barbados on our own in Dec. The kids are wondering if there are any UK style fish and chip shops anywhere in Barbados.

Many restaurants and beach bars offer flying fish and chips (french fries for the americans) Dont know what fish the UK use, most likely cod. If you like fish and chips you will be very very happy with the flying fish and chips (fries)

To us, UK style means take out (not sit down restaurant) with a certain style to the chips and also with items such as mushy peas and curry sauce.

Well, not many.

 

Sandy Lane does a pretty good copy at lunch (but without the Edinburgh Chippie Sauce) (Sigh).

 

Your best bet for chippies using all types of fish is the Oistins Fish Fry down in Oistins on Friday Night.

 

Hard to beat for less than US$10 anywhere on the island. :)
