rubydo Posted September 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2009 If you book shore excursions before you go on a cruise with Carnival are they charged as a debit to your S&S account or do you have to give your credit card number or can you send money for your S&S account before you go. I would appreciate some idea of what is the better way to go. I have to be honest and say that I hate using my charge card because the rate of exchane on the money is much more than if I go to the bank, get a bank draft when the $ is higher, and send it, the charges are almost non-existent if I do it this way (depending on what type of account you have) but it takes a minimum of 6 working days for express post to go from Canada to Miami.
StillPooh Posted September 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Booking online required me to enter a credit card number. Not sure if there are other options.
rsinj Posted September 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Booking online required me to enter a credit card number. Not sure if there are other options. As far as I remember, on our cruise we signed up for excursions online, I didn't have to enter a credit card, and it was put on our S&S account. Things may have changed in the past couple years, but that's what I remember. Howard
ssatterly Posted September 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Sorry but now you have to pay for them at the time of booking with a CC. Gone are the days of putting on your account a head of time. Now if you book on the ship when you get there then it will go on your S&S account.
