  1. I’m a 57 year old “Caucasian American”. My picture is current. Call me elderly, I’m gonna beat you with my cane! 🤣
  2. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7706333/Grandfather-dropped-toddler-150ft-death-cruise-ship-arrives-court-Puerto-Rico.html The grandfather had his first court appearance.
  3. I wouldn’t be too sure that the family was manipulated into suing RCL. Chloe’s mother is a lawyer turned judge, and her father is a police detective. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion, that they would sue.
  4. You’re correct, that was an exaggeration. Based on a 150 foot fall and an 18 month old of average weight, she’d have been falling at around 70 mph when she hit. I still wouldn’t want to see the results.
  5. No one should ever watch video of what happens to a toddler hitting concrete at terminal velocity. If I was on that jury, I’d have PTSD for life. I cannot imagine the horror of the bystanders and first responders on that pier.
  6. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7554361/Man-hurt-16-foot-fall-cruise-ship-Louisiana-coast.html Cheers isn’t always a good idea.
  7. If something is mandatory, then it is not, by definition, a gratuity. They should call it a service charge or something, if they make it impossible to remove. I have not read the seven pages of replies; my apologies if this is redundant.
  8. Wait, your brother is going on the cruise, while you stay home with HIS baby? He should care for his own child, and you should take the family trip you’ve had planned for a year and a half.
  9. Flu vaccine efficacy rates for 2017 and 2018 were around 40%, according to the CDC. You can still get the flu, especially late in the season when the existing strains have mutated.
  10. There’s debate over what classification that dog had, but not that it chewed the face off the guy one seat over. So I’m guessing it was not a properly trained service dog. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.boston25news.com/news/trending-now/delta-passenger-bitten-by-emotional-support-dog-couldnt-escape-attorney-says/686368395
  11. So the vet with PTSD should take precedence over the passenger who might prefer not being attacked on a plane? https://www.ajc.com/blog/airport/emotional-support-dog-bites-passenger-delta-flight/7LWo0gv7hhhDssxl26NwoN/
  12. Especially if you’re sitting on a railing! 🤣
  13. The two word, easy answer? Profit margins. A bottle of wine is gone in the course of a meal (for most people). A bottle of whiskey would negate your son buying drinks for the duration of the voyage. Selling alcohol is where the cruise line makes their money.
  14. The weather is gorgeous here, 60 degrees and sunny. It’s definitely something wrong with the ship itself.
  15. I don’t understand why you’d need to bother with your husband’s DL, if he had a passport.
