  1. More likely you have to go in so she can bill your insurance for an office visit PLUS the fee for the letter (our doctor charges $25 for filling out forms like that).
  2. If my whole family was denied boarding because my toddler had a teething fever, darn skippy I’d be looking for someone to sue! 😤
  3. Ah, I thought they were expecting the letters to be presented at boarding with the rest of ones cruise documents. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  4. The cruise lines want to shift liability, and no physician in their right mind would willingly take on the risk. But if passengers were to do a bit of creative writing, would there really be time at boarding for desk clerks to verify letters? 😉
  5. Yes, that was my point. People who think they can avoid the virus by avoiding the geographic area where it started have a false sense of security.
  6. Avoiding Asia is simple. How are you going to avoid actual Asians? 🤔
  7. Technically most of what you gained was likely retained water, not actual weight. You have to consume roughly 3500 calories more than you burn, to gain a pound. I seriously doubt you consumed an excess 17,000+ calories on this trip! 😳
  8. I’m a 57 year old “Caucasian American”. My picture is current. Call me elderly, I’m gonna beat you with my cane! 🤣
  9. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7706333/Grandfather-dropped-toddler-150ft-death-cruise-ship-arrives-court-Puerto-Rico.html The grandfather had his first court appearance.
  10. I wouldn’t be too sure that the family was manipulated into suing RCL. Chloe’s mother is a lawyer turned judge, and her father is a police detective. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion, that they would sue.
  11. You’re correct, that was an exaggeration. Based on a 150 foot fall and an 18 month old of average weight, she’d have been falling at around 70 mph when she hit. I still wouldn’t want to see the results.
  12. No one should ever watch video of what happens to a toddler hitting concrete at terminal velocity. If I was on that jury, I’d have PTSD for life. I cannot imagine the horror of the bystanders and first responders on that pier.
  13. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7554361/Man-hurt-16-foot-fall-cruise-ship-Louisiana-coast.html Cheers isn’t always a good idea.
  14. If something is mandatory, then it is not, by definition, a gratuity. They should call it a service charge or something, if they make it impossible to remove. I have not read the seven pages of replies; my apologies if this is redundant.
  15. Wait, your brother is going on the cruise, while you stay home with HIS baby? He should care for his own child, and you should take the family trip you’ve had planned for a year and a half.
