Any luck 4/26 3* or 4* in downtown Fort Lauderdale?

Has anyone had success with Priceline or Hotwire for a pre-cruise hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale 3* or 4* such as the Renaissance, Marriott Marina or Embassy Suites? I've been trying since mid-November and have bid up to

$87 with no luck. I'd appreciate any help or news from those who have gotten a room for that date. Perhaps there is something going on on April 26 although the hotel website show rooms.

 

We sail April 27 on the Coral Princess. :)

Hi, I used Priceline for the first time and got the Renaissance, a 4* for $100. With tax it's about $125 I think. I am wondering if I bid too high, but I was not having any luck oin the $80 range and got impatient.

Is your reservation at the Renaissance for April 26? Who knows if you bid too high the first time?!?!? You got a great hotel for what you could have paid for something really poor if you hadn't used Priceline.
