Baby Monitor?

Just wondering about bringing a baby monitor to use on the balcony while DS naps. Do they work well on the ship? Necessary?

 

Does it matter which kind for interference? We use an Angelcare movement sensor monitor at home so might pick up a second hand one for travel.

The balcony isn't THAT far enough away from baby...keep the door cracked---you'll hear just fine without a monitor!!!!

unless you are staying huge suite, it will not be necessary. we stayed in junior suite on rccl and from balcony could see all of our room. enjoy your trip.
