Putterdude Posted September 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2009 Obviously this is great news for Vancouver that has lost a number of sailings in 2010.:) http://www.vancouversun.com/business/Disney+Vancouver+home+port+Alaska+bound+cruise+ships/1984696/story.html
Urban trekker Posted September 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2009 PD - there is also a thread on the Alaska boards about this and I posted some thoughts about it there but here are some more. According to the HD on the Pearl they average between 600 - 800 people under the age of 21 on there Alaskan cruises this year - if this is the same on the other lines Disney could be tapping into a pretty good market but I am curious why they chose Vancouver over Seattle since it will be Tuesday sailings - guess they want to do the proper inside Passage up Vancouver Island. Putterdude Posted September 12, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted September 12, 2009 Yes I posted this link before I realized that there was a thread started. I did make a remark on what you had to said, print it up a put in that big fileing cabinet of your and lets see if you are right. I also agree that the reason they chose Vancouver is the "true" inside passage route.:)
