bladette Posted September 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2009 We are going on our first ever cruise next year on the Destiny on 31st July for our honeymoon. We are so looking forward to it. Any tips and hints greatfully received.
budgie1 Posted September 15, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2009 We did 2 weeks sailed on the 30th July this year. Seems a life time ago now. Brilliant Ship. Crew are so helpfull and cheerfull. Cabins very small and dated but your never in there to worry that much about it. Take a small extension lead with you with your 2-3 adaptors. You can run the lead from the telly socket (2 pin round) down to the dresser. Handy for charging your cameras and phones overnight. Have fun on the Destiny. bladette Posted September 15, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Thanks for that, I will get an adapter and small extension. Any more tips for a couple of over 50 year old honeymooners!!????
steelerannie Posted September 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Have you pre-booked your cabin? If not you may get single beds - not ideal for a honeymoon!!!:D Ann
bladette Posted September 15, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Didn't know which to prebook really, but the travel agent has reqested a double bed as it is our honeymoon!
steelerannie Posted September 16, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2009 If you look at the deck plan, it shows which cabins can be made into doubles. There aren't many. We always prebook our cabin so we know we will definitely get a double bed. I'm sure you will have a lovely time onboard. We love cruising with Thomson's. We went on the Destiny in June this year and are going to the caribbean in January on the Destiny. Ann
