mamakinrocks Posted September 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Hello, Has anyone sailed both? Our 12 and 14 year olds loved Freedom of the Seas. How does the Solstice teen areas/activities compare? Thank you for any help!
kitty9 Posted September 15, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2009 There's no comparison, really imho. The Freedom Class just has so much more for kids than Celebrity. You're not going to find the wave pool, the rock climbing, and all the activities that teens really seem to love about the Freedom Class ships. Solstice is a beautiful ship, but for teens who may love to be really active, FOS is the better choice.
sandytoes03 Posted September 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 16, 2009 I don't have teenagers, but I sailed Celebrity this summer and it was sleepy. I can't imagine a teengager not prefering Freedom of the Seas!
mamakinrocks Posted September 16, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted September 16, 2009 Bummer! While we had a great time on RCCL, we prefer Celebrity. Definitely a higher level of service, dining, amenities, etc. Not that the kids can't deal with OUR preferences this time : ) Thanks for your replies. Any additional input appreciated....especially those who have had teens on both lines/ships.
