inside vs partially obstructed room on Pearl

My husband and I will be traveling with our 22 year old son on the Pearl in Nov. We would llike to make this trip economical, but are debating on weather an inside room will be big enough, or if we should upgrade to an partially obstructed window room. Is there any difference in sleeping area? Is the extra square feetage enough to make a difference? When NCL says partially obstructed, can you see anything besides sunlight and lifeboats? Does the room have a sitting area?
