Has Anyone Ever.....

Our kids are not A.O. age so we arranged for babysitting this last time. We had a sitter from 7:30 to 10:30 every night. We went to the dining room.

On the last night we decided to drop off our tips to the dining room, say thank you for the week, eat on the promenade and walk the ship. We had such a pleasant and relaxing time that night that we are considering skipping the dining room all together on our March cruise in favor of just having those 3 hours free every night.

Has anyone ever skipped the dining room for the entire cruise in favor of having some alone/free time away from the kids and any structured situation?

We havent but sounds very nice! You are free to come and go as you please.Enjoy your cruise as you see fit or do a combination of the two, dinner some nights and strolling others.

We sailed Carnival so we took both kids to the dining room this last cruise (early seating). It worked great, DS slept in his stroller most nights and DD was occupied by coloring or table toys. One night grandparents watched them and we hit the supper club but still would be nice for more alone time.
