kellbellscruise Posted September 27, 2009 Author #26 Share Posted September 27, 2009 Oh well, live and learn. We survived. This night we also grabbed a limo/taxi to Atlantis. They drive crazy over there. we paid $4 pp each way. Atlantis has a great aquarium that we walked thru for free. Spent about 45mins walking thru and really enjoyed it. The hotel is gorgeous, but didnt get any pics other than these...
DarthGrady Posted September 27, 2009 #27 Share Posted September 27, 2009 The Sensation has hooked another person on Carnival huh? Sounds familiar. :D Thanks for posting the pictures, her interiors and upper decks look great after the renovations!
kellbellscruise Posted September 27, 2009 Author #28 Share Posted September 27, 2009 In Vegas, slots were not my friends, and sadly, you can see that Bahamas were mean to me as well...sigh. We never made it to dinner that night, so not sure what they served. On most nights, I would wake up around 2:30 -3:30 and sit on balc...very enjoyable. Serene. Also caught a little rain and it was cool to watch us sail into it... Also, this was the best towel animal..the others...eh. Here is one of the piano bar..Touch of Class. Our son really had a blast there... it never had an empty seat, and its another regret we have not getting to enjoy it.
kellbellscruise Posted September 27, 2009 Author #29 Share Posted September 27, 2009 We set sail early Wed morning and this was our full sea day. My kids enjoyed the water slides. And the pool area was really fun. I just sat in the shade and talked with this nice lady..who also was on her first cruise. I also enjoyed 3 card poker in the casino that night and spent my budget. My kids went to the Not so Newlywed show and said it was a hoot. I wish I had seen more shows, but was just having fun walking around and talking with people. kellbellscruise Posted September 27, 2009 Author #30 Share Posted September 27, 2009 I will just post some random things now... A carton of smokes were 22.90. 5 cartons were 99.80. wow A bucket of beer was 20.40. The glass elevators were not working the entire cruise. They made a great Long Island Iced Tea. I wished I had a better camera, taken more pics, had binoculars, gone to bingo, piano bar and high tea time. Wished I didn't poop out so early, as it seemed the partying/dancing started around midnight or so. Ship played great music. Bands were great. And I could go on and on.... We had a fantastic time and will probably be cruising again within the next 6months to Western Carib with more family members. I do have all the Capers, but have no way to scan...but will be happy to answer any questions. Thanks for all your info before hand, and I hope I have given you something back. kellbellscruise Posted September 27, 2009 Author #31 Share Posted September 27, 2009 glad you had a great time, we have enjoyed all of our cruises but some better than others. cant wait till we get back onboard again in Feb. They did have one little potty on board..just an FYI. ANd I meant it was the best fun we had on either Island. Also, you can see our ship was not backed in like the others... I think because they needed to get the guest on the ambulance and it does take a little time to back to ship in.

The old ones were shaped like arms and the hands were holding the cushion. So when you sat on them, the hands were holding your.....well you get the point. Anyway, it was kinda odd. kellbellscruise Posted September 27, 2009 Author #35 Share Posted September 27, 2009 We thought the ship was beautiful. Also, we did order room service coffee and bagels everyday. It was prompt, hot and fresh. We did give extra tip to our wait staff and room steward, dont know if this is the norm, but felt they gave such great service. No one was ever "in your face", but were always right there if you needed anything.

kellbellscruise Posted September 27, 2009 Author #38 Share Posted September 27, 2009 The Sensation has hooked another person on Carnival huh? Sounds familiar. :D Thanks for posting the pictures, her interiors and upper decks look great after the renovations! Thank you for looking. It looked like they were in the process of staining or sealing the pool deck.... Also, the Serenity Deck was very nice. There was 2 jacuzzis. And under the overhang at the back, they had loungers and a massage table.

Lgarth Posted September 27, 2009 #40 Share Posted September 27, 2009 kellbell, :)Thanks for the great review and pics. We sailed the Sensation last Thanksgiving, our 1st on Carnival, and just loved it!! We're hoping to sail again on her next year. And just remember that everything you didn't get to do or try can be done again. There is always too much to do and see on the 1st cruise to fit everything in... Welcome to the addiction:D;)
kellbellscruise Posted September 27, 2009 Author #41 Share Posted September 27, 2009 Thanks Linda. I am kinda you neighbor. I live in Deltona. I noticed you have also done RC cruises. What are your takes on the differences in ships?
lolalow Posted September 28, 2009 #42 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Is the only place to get drinks up at the buffet(we plan on no soda cards) what beverages can you get with room service that there is no charge for? Were there towels on deck by pool for use or do you have to take yours from the room? Is there a dessert buffet? How were the lines to get food? Bedside mongolian grill and the buffet are there any other places to snack? This will be our first carnival cruise on oct 22, we are in U107 so excited.
