love2learn Posted September 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2009 We will be spending one day in Soul Korea, Anyone have any ideas of what we should see or do there?
Rare Lobbylin Posted October 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2009 There isn't a huge amount to do in the port area - the town has a small chinatown area, a nice park up on the hill, a few shops etc. Seoul is about an hour+ away from the port, and most people that did the ships' city tours said they were worth the visit. Changing of the guards, the palace, the antique area for shopping and dining.... Alternatively, if you are interested in something different you can do a tour to the demilitarized zone between north and south Korea - google it as the DMZ Korea for more info. Happy cruising! love2learn Posted October 29, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted October 29, 2009 Hey thanks for your reply, We aren't going to be cruising there, we are just there on a long flight layover from the US to Vietnam and hope we can see and learn a little about the country there. Thanks again for your input, anyone else have any experience to share? Sharon
mar872 Posted November 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I would recommend taking the train from Inchon Airport to Seoul, it is fast and efficent. I am not sure how much time you have for your layover, but if it is only a few hours the airport has alot to do, and even a triditional Korean bath. :)

Maui Cruiser Posted November 10, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2009 You could go into Seoul and visit Namsan or Myong Dong, both are shopping area's and have lots of food. You could also visit Bomesa its the Korean version of the Forbidden City. Hope this helps.
