Car search at Jaxport

Last week seen security pull over and search an suv with parents and two young children in it. My question is is this a common thing at Jaxport? I have never seen this done at any other port including Miami.

Mobile performs a search of every vehicle entering the terminal by using a dog to circle the vehicle. If the dog "hits", then you are pulled over for a full search.

 

I have not seen it in New Orleans, Houston, Galveston, New York or Miami.
