luvluv2cruise Posted October 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2009 I'm really confused about this. There used to be a rule that you could bring 2 bottles of unopened wine on board to be consumed in your cabin only. Has RCCL changed this policy? I realize you can't take liquor and i'm not talking about smuggling it on. They used to allow people to legitimately take 2 bottles of wine. Does anyone know? No you may no longer bring wine or any other alcohol on board.
Alexis Posted October 2, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2009 We are no longer allowed to bring any alcohol onto any RCCL ships from home, or from any ports we visit. It will be taken from you and held until the last night, or day, of your cruises. That was changed a couple of years ago. We can not buy it in the ships stores and take it back to our cabins anymore either.
Capecodbeachfront Posted October 3, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2009 I thought I read where you were charged an 'uncorking' fee but could bring wine on board. Was I possibly reading an outdated post ???
PhoenixCruiser Posted October 3, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2009 Yes it was outdated. ###
luvluv2cruise Posted October 3, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted October 3, 2009 Thanks to everyone who has responded. This was the first year that I have not sailed RCCL in a long time. We went on Celebrity Summit in April (wonderful, fabulous, recommend it). They still allow guests to bring 2 bottles on board. Again, thanks for the responses.
