Cherbourg Questions

We really don't see any excursions in which we are interested. Is it a reasonable walk into town, or is there a shuttle? If so, I'd appreciate info on such & what there is to see in town.

Cherbourg is a nice city on walking distance from the port, but there is also a shuttle. There is a submarine museum (free) and an aquarium (admission) next to the terminal an outside (at the back of the building) also contains a decommissioned nuclear submarine that can be toured.

will b n cherbourg in nov.....wonder what to do? my husband is doing a d day tour I am not
